The Silmarillion is truly amazing. It can be hard to read at times, but it's hands down the best lore book for a fantasy mythos ever written. Many of the chapters in that book are nothing short of epic masterpieces of fantasy fiction. It's a really beautiful story.

I finished reading "The Silmarillion," and I just started "The Children of Húrin". All of this is beyond epic. This mythos is the most epic saga of fantasy I've ever discovered.
