Did you use a text color other than the default maybe? Some text colors are hard to see on certain forum themes. Maybe that's it. Or are you on mobile? Signatures don't show up on the mobile site unless your phone is in landscape orientation, I believe.

If you found the Signature page of your account settings, you should be able to add an image and save it. I can see you wrote something there, so that worked out, but you shouldn't have any problems hosting an image too. Are you trying to upload one directly or are you using a url to link an image?
