@Tristan @Mamono101. There was a period where Djinn would post community competition winners on the main site: http://www.zeldadungeon.net/2012/10/dge-community-competition-winners/
If Djinn or another main site staff member could get those kinds of posts up again, it could definitely boost...
ZU has something where mods post feedback threads once in a while. Maybe something like that could be posted once a year so the mods can know what they're doing well and what they need to improve. Regardless, I think the current forum staff is very good, so I'm not too concerned either way for...
If a part of the forums is to be used, how about making use of the Private Boards? That subforum hasn't served a purpose in the longest time. Locke could set the options for viewing to be set to only people who want to participate in the discussion in the admin control panel. I know some...
I updated the rules links in Forum Games, Fan Works, and the Mature Discussion. I could not yet update the link in Zelda Theory because the OP is over 10,000 characters in length and that is currently prohibited. As far as I'm aware, I don't have permission to change that. Since JC brought it...
I would add the Editor rank, but I don't have file transfer protocol access; in other words, I'm unable to add ranks to be directly hosted on ZD. This needs to be fixed with the Event Staff badge first before adding another rank. As far as I'm aware, inky Locke can do this. Perhaps mods...
I'll bring this up in the ZD Mod Chat since Locke added Thareous and I to the group this morning. There would be some overlap with the Event Staff; however, if such a rank is implemented, I agree with the distinction as it will be involved in more rigorous forum projects.
Regarding the gifting issue, I would like to contact Locke after the marathon about whether or not Thareous and I can have access to editing the Point Market. We already have these permissions for the vBshop so it's only logical that they should be expanded to include the Point Market as well.
I appreciate that the moderators are actively keeping up with this thread and incorporating new policies founded on the suggestions put forth by members. As of now, however, the discussion has been fairly one-sided. I see some "yeah's" here and there expressing specific posts that forum staff...
I believe I suggested this before, but threads you can post in daily like Daily Happy, Depressing, and the Song thread should have their own subforum to prevent other threads from being overlooked. Posts in those daily threads would still count towards post count, but they wouldn't show up in...
I agree with JC. Secret Santa and Christmas cards are not redundant because they are very distinct events so why not implement both? Christmas Cards could be an easier way to celebrate the season, while Secret Santa is an additional option for those who wants to get more involved.
Since the trend seems to be to add a subforum for new game releases, I propose a small alcove dedicated to Black 2 and White 2 as they release this month. That will ensure the threads centering around the newer games don't dominate the World of Pokémon subforum.
Additionally, a spoiler option...
The solution I propose for combating people who frequently desire a name change is setting a quota of one name change per period of time. One name change every year seems like a reasonable compromise. Most won't get tired of a new username that soon especially if they chose wisely and this...
At the bottom of a thread page where it says "Previous Thread" and "Next Thread", those words should be replaced with the exact titles of the respective threads providing for smoother forum navigation. :)
This has already been put out there before, however, I endorse gender symbols next to poster's name to avoid confusion. This has been especially truly of some females with more masculine related user names.
Also, I think the top poster bar should be removed completely as some people simply...
I would really like for the "View Your Conversation With This User" button to return. That helped keep things clean and simple and it wasn't a hassle to scroll through and see where you left off with someone.
