Breath of the Wild Zelda Wii U Release Date Speculation Thread.

Announced at E3 2014, release pushed back to late 2015 ("sorry guys, you know the drill - making the game the best it can be requires an additional year at least")

A Link Between Worlds When Do You Think the Next 3ds Zelda Game Will Be Announced?

We have reason to suspect that the Zelda team has been working on or at least gathering gameplay ideas for Zelda 3DS prior to Skyward Sword's release. Aonuma's statement of "having 3D in the game will mean something, but you probably won't understand that just yet" late last year also shows that...

General Modern Is Zelda No Longer a Hardcore Game?

The Shiekah Stone isn't even problematic, as its usage is entirely optional. But how about Fi? Fi pretty much did most of the thinking for you - pointing out the obvious in situations where you didn't even need advice in the first place. But most of the hand-holding is subliminally placed in...

The Zelda Game of Your Dreams

Sunset. A softly red-lit, calm scene on a graveyard. The wind is whistling through the leaves. A figure is seen standing before a gravestone. A warm, desperate female voice: "I never wanted any of this, Link. Please, you have to understand. I wasn't strong enough to help you. I just couldn't...

    Countdown to E3 2012!

Cruel they are. If really worth the hyped wait for these few sentences is, to be seen it remains. But I sure hope so!

    Countdown to E3 2012!

I hope for a Zelda 3DS reveal trailer with a new exciting main theme (much like Spirit Tracks' announcement), as well as a little bit on spoken information about Zelda Wii U, such as clearing up the rumors about possible collaborations with other game developers, more on the role of the tablet...

    Skyward Sword Shield Trouble

By holding the minus-button you should be able to see any shield that's available to you. If there's no shield there this means that a) it has been broken or b) you left it in the Bazaar in Skyloft with the annoyed lady.

Skyward Sword How Do You Get the Third Pice of the Key Out of the Earth Temple

Well that does not help at all. Which ones do you already have? I take it that you progressed naturally and assumed that you can collect one at a time, so that would make the third... the one on the right side of the hill just before the temple entrance, where you have to bomb a wall? Or if you...

Reasons This Game is Not a 10/10

My god, since when have people become so lazy and don't want to read a bigger chunk of dialogue, which by the way is already very limited in a game and is by far one of the more interesting parts of story-telling? Especially if it's done with that much care in Skyward Sword?

Leaked Skyward Sword Music? Your Thoughts?

I can confirm you 100% that this clip is fake, and that the music in Skyward Sword sounds at least 100 times better than this midi crap ;) The new Hyrule Field has been replaced by the Sky, and this song is most likely the new "Hyrule Field Theme" you're looking for...

    Pro Tips - Post Yours.

Pro Tip 14: Make sure to send as many Godess Cubes to the sky as you possibly can, because they hold many useful things which you don't want to miss during your adventure. Also try to remember the location of the cubes that you couldn't previously reach. And of course, take your time to look for...

The Official Skyward Sword Reviews by You

You're very welcome! I think that would be the Lanayru Mining Facility. It introduces a very innovative gameplay element, which is even tied to the story itself and is just pure fun! Also, the last one is literally nicely laid out :P.

The Official Skyward Sword Reviews by You

First off, I'm not going to post a numeric score, seeing how people tend to rely too much on them. That said, let's begin typing this wall of text. Skyward Sword is truly an amazing achievement. We have been waiting for five long years for this title, and what we got (are about to get) is a...

ONM: SS is Easier Than OOT and TP and You Can Beat the Game Without Upgrading Items..

I think the guy just got accustomed to the controls very quickly and attributed this to the game's difficulty level instead of his own talent. Solely the fact that you have to swing your sword in a specific direction in order to properly hit an enemy should be proof enough to demonstrate that...

    Please Make Me Smile Again...

You really shouldn't pay that much attention to such random reviews, solely because you most likely bear a very special bond towards Zelda in general, whereas most of the reviewers don't feel the same way (anymore), for they are generally older and in most parts just doing their job in analyzing...

    Linearity in This Game

JuiceJ pretty much summed it up nicely. However, we should keep in mind that Skyloft and the sky overworld feature certain events that will take place in different points in the game's progression, and we don't yet know whether or not they are needed for the advance of the main story... and...

    Hyrule Field in a Screenshot?

A very incomplete desert area... But we don't really know for sure whether or not there'll be a field... judging by the newest map on the japanese site, there'd be perfect room for a Hyrule field just under Skyloft, connecting all areas...

The Official Skyward Sword Music Thread

Only the first two listed songs are official, the last ones are fan-made. Also, the Godess' Song / Main Theme was created by Hajime Wakai and most likely orchestrated by Yokota. Kondo had nothing to do with it.
  19. Agahnim

    Sky World Theme

Also there seem to be two different renditions of the Sky Overworld theme. In the Eldin Volcano video the beginning sounds different than the one from the Treasure Chest video... Perhaps they're one and the same, though.

    Skyward Sword Cover Song

Mahito Yokota, the orchestral director of Skyward Sword has already confirmed that he's hand-picked a few classical Zelda songs and put them in the game. As for the cover song - which we don't even know for certain to actually be real - I don't think it foreshadows anything, but rather gives an...

All-new Information Coming Soon, Take a Look at That New Artwork!

A user over at Zeldainformer actually took the time and analyzed the little information we have on these musical notes and came up with this: http://www.zeldainformer.com/2011/09/skyward-sword-box-art-speculation.html Anyone bother to play a few variations and share them on youtube? I...

All-new Information Coming Soon, Take a Look at That New Artwork!

I'm pretty sure the dowsing mode refers to the treasure-seeking ability of the Skyward Sword, where Link has to seek (and maybe dig?) in first-person perspective. So chances are high that we'll see the digging gloves in action!

    A New Life for Zelda

They can't go back after delivering the most interesting and promising combat system a Zelda game has ever had. I do think that they'll try and change the dungeon-overworld formula even further in the next installment, we'll just have to wait and see how that plays out. Seriously, just imagine...

    Countdown to Skyward Sword Release!

Also, if the forest area is any indication of what the other areas will be like, it's quite impossible to ride a horse through this version of Hyrule, because of the maze-like architectures and especially the doors separating one sub-area from another... Dark Nuts will surely have its appearance...

What Are You Looking Forward to Most.

I'm looking forward to that certain moment of sheer awe, when I'm actually holding a physical copy of Skyward Sword safely in my own hands, feeling its light weight, which is just enough to make me realise that yes, the wait is finally, finally over, and all the beautiful music, scenery, story...

    Countdown to Skyward Sword Release!

Well, considering Skyloft's eldest looks a lot like a younger version of OoT's sage Rauru, it isn't impossible... Do you think we'll be able to fly our Loftbird on the surface world below the clouds from a certain point onwards?

    Countdown to Skyward Sword Release!

I've got an idea to make the thread even betterer: In addition to what you want to say, you should ask a question about Skyward Sword, and the next one answers it and in turn asks a new question and so on. If everyone decides to help out, the thread shouldn't die out until November! I'll...

Could the Rest of the Music in SwS Be Reversed Also?

While I don't think that we'll hear more reversed music in Skyward Sword, most tracks of Ocarina of Time DO sound nice and fresh backwards, it's quite phenomenal!

    PAX Prime 2011

The hype! But frankly it's a little bit early to get a release trailer, is it not? =/

    How Many Dungeons?

7-9 seems realistic. I have a feeling the dungeons will be bigger than ever, not to say filled with puzzles, enemies and content. As has been said before, there will be dungeon-backtracking, so I don't think there will be as many as OoT or TP had. And I wouldn't even mind that.

    Best Skyward Sword Trailer?

The E3 2011 trailer has a special place in my heart.
  36. Agahnim

    The Box Art...

I think a golden-themed Box Art would be kind of boring, at least if it bore any resemblance to TP's. Skyward Sword is among other things being marketed as a vital, beautiful, colorful painting, so the Box Art should be exactly like that.
  37. Agahnim

    Skyward Sword Editions

I'm almost certain that there will at least be two different editions - a normal one and one bundled with the golden Wii Remote Plus, much like the Xenoblade edition with the red classic controller. Maybe there will be a third one with all the goodies you mentioned, but it's hard to imagine...

    Gamescom 2011

I'm sure we'll hear something new either at Gamescom or Tokyo Games Show, the latter taking place at a more realistic time period for a final trailer alongside a release date. I wouldn't get my hopes up too high for Gamescom!

    Countdown to Skyward Sword Release!

My best realistic case scenario: We get the exact release date at Gamescom next week, revealing a late October release paired with the Zelda Symphony Orchestra CD just after the glorious event in London took place. I'm really looking forward to playing Skyward Sword in fall, when the weather...

    Countdown to Skyward Sword Release!

Thanks OP, your thread has inspired me to once again reflect about the masterpiece that Skyward Sword is shaping up to be: The game is shaping up to be nothing less than phenomenal, in my opinion. The beautiful artstyle, which is - I dare say - satisfyingly unique compared to other games...

Just a Thought on Skyward Sword

I do think the bird's a replacement for Epona, because I'm hoping that later on in the game you'll be able to fly around in Hyrule with your bird, too. That would be epic!

    Skyward Sword Release Month Soon?

Usually they give out the release dates slated for the Holiday season in September, so I wouldn't count on a solid date too soon.
  43. Agahnim

    Near Future...

It's unnecessary to even speculate about this. Skyward Sword is coming this year, Wii U in 2012, voilà. As far as I'm Zelda Informed (see what I did there?), release dates for the holiday season are usually given in September. So we might not hear something new about SS until then...

    Skyward Sword's Music

The music's actually one of the things I'm most looking forward to. I'm very impressed by what we've heard so far, and frankly, I don't know how you can not like Skyward Sword's main theme. Have you really listened to the E3 orchestra? I thought that was really, really epic! So yeah, I love the...

    New Instrument.

It wouldn't have to be a main item, but as an optional find or minigame, an instrument sure sounds interesting. Imagine how cool it'd be if you could conduct your own Skyloft-orchestra, using your Wiimote to give the orders. As for a piano, hmm... I just can't see it as Link's instrument.

    GDC 2011 is Soon

Also, would you have thought that Iwata actually showed a trailer of Spirit Tracks during his speech of "Discovering New Game Development Opportunities"? The keynote's title does not necessarily hint at what the whole speech is all about. I still have hopes, although I keep them at a minimum...

    The Music of Skyward Sword...

Come to think of it, an actual interview with Koji Kondo on Skyward Sword would be epic! I wonder, for instance, how long Kondo has been working on its music? With Miyamoto having decided as recently as E3 2010 that the game will feature (fully ?) orchestrated soundtrack, I'm a little bit...

    GDC 2011 is Soon

Considering that Skyward Sword has been in the final stage of its completion for a month now, we'll most likely see something new at GDC. I bet it's going to be a new trailer showing some cutscenes with NPC's (Zelda and Adelle in their final designs), as well as new areas such as Skyloft. I...

Is Epona Supposed to Make an Appearance?

You're absolutely right, we can't possibly know anything about the final outcome of the game's overworld. I merely interpreted the way Miyamoto used the word "dense[r]" in direct comparison to Twilight Princess' vast yet empty Hyrule Field as a commitment that the overworld of Skyward Sword will...

Is Epona Supposed to Make an Appearance?

Considering that the overworld is going to be very dense, flooded with enemies of all kind and in parts connected to "overworld-dungeons", I can't really see enough free space to be riding Epona properly. Of course I could be wrong, but let's face it: Link's new ability to sprint has surely not...
