    Zelda's Unbroken Bloodline Is ABSURD

Simple, but cheap, and not confirmed. If he was aware of it in WW he could've just killed Zelda on the bed. XD Now that it looks like Ganondorf has been revived in BOTW2, it will be interesting to see if he gets back his intelligence and becomes aware of this.

Breath of the Wild Are the enemies in BotW cute?

The Wizzrobes are kinda cute with their cool designs and the way they wave at you, but the Bokoblins are just annoying. Don't see anything cute about them.

    Zelda's Unbroken Bloodline Is ABSURD

Of course most of the Links and Zeldas are born different people; that's not what I'm disputing. Creating A Champion states that Calamity Ganon's hate for the hero and princess was legendary, yet he never met the ones in BOTW before when he sent the Guardians after them. The Links and Zeldas...

    Zelda's Unbroken Bloodline Is ABSURD

My conclusion is that Nintendo themselves don't know how the hell Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf keep appearing in different generations; they don't even know whether they're the same people or not, proven by the fact that they repeatedly and simultaneously say they're different from past...

    Zelda's Unbroken Bloodline Is ABSURD

Link is an incarnation of the Spirit of the Hero. Ganondorf is an incarnation of Demise's hatred. Zelda is a descendant of the Goddess Hylia. What the ****??? The former two can keep on reincarnating or being reborn, but the latter can be destroyed. You would think the Goddess would've been...

    Voice Actors

Riju, Teba, and Yunobo are voiced by the same actors as Urbosa, Revali, and Daruk, so there's a chance they could come back. The trailer is filled with imagery of death and spirits (mummified Ganondorf, luminous stones which are said to house the spirits of the dead, and the blue-green ghost...

    A BotW Trilogy?

I think it all depends on how much they'll cover in BOTW2, and how successful it'll be. Aonuma wants to explore his creation more, and basically said in an interview he wants to continue blowing minds with these next Zelda games. It's possible but BOTW2 needs to come out first to really judge.

Breath of the Wild Do you love or hate Revali? And why?

LOL! The whole "don't come crying to me!" scene nails this. He acts like a jilted BF, as if Zelda owes him anything. As much as I loved the Champions, I gotta admit this is mostly true.

    Voice Actors

I also don't really like the voice they assigned Zelda (her higher-pitched, more emotional voice in the Japanese version is more how I imagined her sounding like) but they'll probably stick with it for continuity. I know Teba's and Revali's voice actor wants to come back. Hated how Deku Tree...

Breath of the Wild Do you love or hate Revali? And why?

Revali is both my favorite and my least favorite Champion. He's the reluctant Champion, the one who had to be asked twice by Zelda to pilot a Divine Beast. And let's be honest, he's the most complex out of the four supporting characters. Creating A Champion stated that he was never satisfied...

    Link Is His Own Grandpa

TP Link is confirmed to be OOT Link's blood descendant. Yet according to Skyward Sword lore, he's also supposed to possess the Spirit of the Hero, which all Links are implied to have. And if you believe the reincarnation theory, which Nintendo themselves leave open (they literally state in...

Breath of the Wild Divine Beast Appreciation Thread

I think Vah Naboris has the best music, and the beginning piano theme of Vah Medoh. The coolest looking is Medoh of course, since it's the only one that can fly. Looks so badass flying in the distance!!

The Wind Waker is pretty dark, in hindsight.

Twilight Princess also put in comical stuff at the worst moments, like the Barnes headgear gag when Bulblin attacked Kakariko Village, the Armogohma eyeball-chase with the funny music, and Zant dancing around in the final confrontation. I don't think it detracted from the game's quality; they...

It's called 'The Legend' for a reason.

That's what I mean by slight differences. Or in this case, big differences. By the "same legend", I mean it having the same formula of most Zelda games: a hero named Link saves a princess named Zelda while preventing a villain named Ganon from taking over--which is what the Links in Adventure...

The Wind Waker is pretty dark, in hindsight.

I agree with you. I think Wind Waker was a darker game than Twilight Princess. It's cutesy, cartoon art style contrasts with the serious story of Hyrule being flooded by its own gods then destroyed at the end. The heartwarming credits with the characters' faces in the bubbles of destroyed...

A way of merging the timelines

I see what you're saying! ^_^ To be more clear, people should just say they think BOTW takes place in a different Zelda universe. This is not confirmed though, and would be another copout by Nintendo if it were, so either way I still see BOTW as yet more proof why the series should stop...

It's called 'The Legend' for a reason.

I completely agree. I realize the series makes a whole lot more sense if you see it the way I'm sure its creators' intended it: as a retelling of the same legend over and over, with slight differences. The only problem is when Nintendo actually tries putting the timeline into games. Then we...

    Favorite Ganondorf?

I gotta admit, he did have the creepiest grin. I was actually kinda creeped out during that scene where Link confronts him in the Forsaken Fortress. Then when he grabbed Tetra in that choke-hold and was like "I FINALLY FOUND YOU PRINCESS ZELDA!1!1!" :reggie::P:reggie::P XD His black eastern...

    Favorite Ganondorf?

YES!!! That moment is so iconic when Link's walking up the red carpet stairs while the organ music is playing. I also think OOT Ganon's beast transformation looks the most badass, besides his Calamity serpent-ghost form. WAY better than that blue pig-beast cartoon-looking thing LOL! SO...

    Favorite Ganondorf?

I loved Ganon's atmospheric, boogeyman presence in Breath of the Wild. Yeah, he barely had a character but that was the point; Calamity Ganon was a result of him just giving up and becoming this Malice, demon-goo ghost thing that just wants to kill everything. I'd say there's some parallels to...

A way of merging the timelines

I see what you're trying to say but it still doesn't make sense if BOTW is to be in the same timeline/universe as the rest of the games. If they wanted a "soft reboot" they could've added all the elements that have appeared in Zelda so far, like the Rito, Zora, Koroks, Gerudo, etc. along with...
  22. dekusprout700

A way of merging the timelines

The only problem with that though is that BOTW heavily references past Zelda lore. Can't really be any kind of reboot as long as that history is there.

Breath of the Wild Why did Revali tell Link not to ask Zelda about him?

That was one of the only things I could come up with. Still find it odd that Revali wouldn't want Zelda discussing him AT ALL with Link just for that one moment though. Dying against a phantom Ganon should've been the pinnacle of embarrassment for him. And it's not like Revali training to...

    Favorite/Least Favorite Zelda Games

    1. Ocarina of Time. I was lucky this was my first Zelda game. Because of it I became a fanatic of the series, even though none of the other titles have ever matched it for me besides my runner-up. It was the first 3D Zelda game, revolutionized the series the way Mario 64 did for Mario, and...

Humor in Zelda - tell us about a moment in a game that had you LOL hard.

I seriously think Barnes putting his headgear down in response to Bulblin putting his up was the funniest moment in Zelda so far. It was very clever and something more out of a comedy movie. Twilight Princess really has the most comedic moments, in my opinion.

Spoiler The Reincarnation Theory - Spirit of The Hero

I agree that all the Links are probably the same person by reincarnation but there's one thing that bugs me. TP Link is OOT Link's blood descendant. I do think they're essentially the same person but does this mean he reincarnated himself into his relative? Does anyone else find this messed up?
  27. dekusprout700

So, what exactly do you mean by Link's "reincarnation?"

Like the Zelda timeline, the whole Link/Zelda/Ganondorf reincarnations also drive me insane. TP Link is confirmed to be a blood descendant of OOT Link, but according to SS, should also be his reincarnation due to the "Spirit of the Hero". So is Link reincarnating himself into his grandkids...

What's Ganondorf's motivation for wanting the Triforce and world domination?

He just has a lust for power. Even before he turned into Beast Ganon, you see in Ocarina of Time that he's willing to kill the Deku Tree, starve the Gorons, and mess up Jabu-Jabu just to get the keys to the Sacred Realm and get the Triforce. And remember what Nabooru said about him stealing...

A way of merging the timelines

The Zelda timeline drives me insane. There are so many ****ing mistakes in it, mostly because of Breath of the Wild. There's references to all three timelines in that game, it's basically one big mash-up. Where the HELL does it go??? To be fair, Nintendo stated themselves that they don't...

Breath of the Wild Why did Revali tell Link not to ask Zelda about him?

Revali tells Link not to go asking Princess Zelda about him, basically saying that her "royal memory" probably wasn't what it used to be anyway. Skip to 2:25. https://youtu.be/3BmBmOAHLd8 I find this odd, because Revali likes talking about himself, and likes others talking about him, writing...

I think he's funny. Just annoyed how he charges you so much to decipher Triforce Charts in Wind Waker.

Breath of the Wild Did anyone else hate the voice acting?

IMO, this was Nintendo testing the waters. I was one of the skeptical ones at first about the voice acting but I thought it came out decent at the end. Urbosa and Revali were my favorites, and although I liked the accent on Zelda, I agree with many that her voice was too low and lacked some...
