    Indie Zelda

Given the current state of Star Wars, I'd say the films shouldn't exist either. As for other companies taking control of a game in the series, I see no harm in letting a smaller company develop a 2d game while they work on the next 3d installment, it worked with Minish Cap.

What would cause the Zelda convergence?

    A timeline convergence cannot happen.
  3. R

Why do people believe that the entire timeline was made up at the last second?

The ending scene in OoX shows Link leaving in the boat that gets wrecked in LA.

Could these 3 games be made canon?

You CANNOT merge timelines, it just can't happen.

Help Make BotW's Guardian a Real Lego Set.

Hey Zelda fans, I recently uploaded a project to Lego Ideas featuring the Guardian Stalker from Breath of the Wild. If it gains 10,000 supporters, The Lego Group will consider making it a real Lego set. You can find the project here...

    Twilight Remark In BOTW

My mistake, I don't know Japanese, and I was told that she was speaking about the Dark World.

    Twilight Remark In BOTW

The word whether isn't hypothetical, what she means is that it doesn't matter what they're doing, the sword and the hero are always bound together. As for the twilight remark, that's just bad localisation (like so much more of the localisation in this game).

    Your Favorite Link

TP Link. He looks cool, and he's in the best Zelda game. BotW Link. He has more character than any other Link, I don't particularly like what they did with him at some points, but it's nice to go beyond the "Link is your avatar" idea people seem to be so stuck on. He is kinda useless though.

    Link's terrible fate

Link was always a male, why does that have to change?

    Link's terrible fate

I know it's been done before, I'm just saying it hasn't been done well. Also, as far as I know, AT is pushing the boundaries of what can be called medieval fantasy (yes, more than Zelda).

    Link's terrible fate

Still, you have to admit that an American accent will feel out of place in medieval fantasy. Just look at LotR or GoT for example, they just won't be as good if you replace British accents with American. American accents work with many things, just not medieval settings.

    Link's terrible fate

True, but LoZ has a Medieval-European inspired setting, and America wasn't even discovered during these times, so giving Link an American accent doesn't make much sense. Besides, English sounds better.

    Link's terrible fate

    No, never.

    Should Link talk?

Judging by some of BotW's voice acting, Nintendo are perfectly capable of making Link sound like these two.
  15. R

    Link's terrible fate

Why would you make Link a girl? Anyway, yeah, speaking is definitely the lesser evil, just don't make him American. (English, real, not faked. Please.)

    Interesting theory about before SS

Rogue One is definitely Canon, some of the books are, but not all. Normally I'd agree that the Manga aren't canon, but this one appears in Hyrule Historia, which is canon, so there's a possibility that the Manga is as well.

The Continuation Timeline - Breath of the Wild Timeline Theory

I don't understand Japanese, so I can't comment on that, but if we're counting out the amiibo and DLC, I agree with most of the other points you've raised. One thing I could never understand, however, was the placement of "The Legend of Zelda I" on the timeline. There have been several Princess...

The Continuation Timeline - Breath of the Wild Timeline Theory

BotW contains too many references to the Child and Adult timelines to fit Downfall "pretty well". Just listen to Zelda's speech.

The Continuation Timeline - Breath of the Wild Timeline Theory

There's a theory that OoT's Zelda didn't originally have visions, and that Link died while fighting Ganon in OoT, leading to the formation of the Downfall Timeline. Then, Zelda from AoL used the Triforce to give OoT's Zelda the visions she has in the game, so she can help Link fight Ganon...
