Anyone who has played Spirit tracks know that before the final boss, Zelda asks Link what will he do after all of this is done, then you are given three answers to choose from: A Warrior, an engineer, or don't know.

What I mean by this is that there are small mechanics in each game that don't become a staple in the game, but help tremendously, or is just charming, and you'd like to see again.
