Do you think she will play a more active role in the game this time around?
What would you like to see from her?
I'm a little worried that she will be separated from Link near the beginning of the game (something the trailer hints at), in which case most of the game could just be about...
Where would you like the next Zelda to be located (Hyrule or elsewhere)?
Are there any particular areas you would like to return?
What kinds of regions would be cool to see? Sick of some of the re-curring ones (forest, volcano, lake, etc); what kinds of twists would you introduce to spice...
Also, is it important to you that items be displayed as individual objects like they were in past Zelda games, or would you mind if they showed up as runes/abilities tied to a central item like the Sheikah Slate?
Supposedly Zelda Switch has been in development since at least December 2017. Since then Nintendo has posted additional job listings for the game. More interesting is the recent confirmation of Monolith Soft's involvement in an upcoming Zelda project.
Do you think they are merely assisting...
I'm not sure why, but the DLC dungeon ends up not being discussed much, even in threads dedicated to BotW's dungeons in general, or the Divine Beasts in particular. For those who played it - and I'm assuming most people here bought the DLC - what did you think of the final dungeon?
Was it...
Having a bunch of mini-dungeons scattered throughout the massive overworld of BotW provided a lot of incentive and reward for exploration in my eyes. Most of the physics based puzzles were really fun to play with and figure out. However, while part of me really enjoyed them and would like them...
Medli and Makar from the Wind Waker, along with Princess Zelda from Spirit Tracks, added some interesting gameplay mechanics to the dungeon's in which they were present. Would you like to see a mechanic like this return? If so, what kind of ideas/types of characters would you like to see...
Those poor Divine Beasts. They catch a lot of flack for not being the traditional dungeons most of us know and love. While it's true that there a number of aspects about them that could've been better, typically this all people focus on when discussing them.
So instead of what what was...
So not only did BoTW go for the open world genre, it also flipped from being extremely linear to being entirely non-linear. Allowing people to progress through the game world in any order and way they pleased fit well with the open world design and was a huge improvement to player freedom...
This thread isn't about what "kind" of dungeon you'd like to see in terms of structure, Instead, I'm curious about the "flavor" of them. Things like:
- In what kind of setting you'd like to find them?
- What would be the lore around said dungeon?
- What kind of architecture would be cool?
-...
Seeing that Nintendo is likely to continue with the "open air" style games going forward, and that the Divine Beasts weren't well received overall, what style of dungeon would you like to see from here on out?
The way I see it, BotW provided two different styles of open world dungeons: the...
