Left-Handed Option? Should There Be One...

It's not, at least for me. I play with the Wiimote in my left hand and the Nunchuk in my right. It's really not that all that difficult to make the switch. Yeah, it'd be nice to have the option in SS, with the 1:1 controls and everything, but I'll manage.
  2. Link1432

    Non-linear

Linear, non-linear, it doesn't really matter to me. It worked for the first games, but the newer games have done perfectly fine without it. They're all great games, and I'll play a Zelda game no matter what. I don't really care whether or not SS will be linear or not. I don't think that it...

How Would You Like the Box-art to Be?

All I can say is, it'd better be breathtakingly epic. Nothing soil-your-pants awesome, though. That wouldn't feel right. Something more mellow, but equally entralling, like the kind of vistas you get in the mountains, or the ocean, or something.
  4. Link1432

    SS and OoT

Don't see it happening, personally. People love OoT becuase of what it did fpr the video game industry. It was revolutionary for its time, and it would take a heck of a lot from Skyward Sword to even come close to that kind of innovation. Motion controls just don't cut it in that regard.
  5. Link1432

When and How Will Link Get the Skyward Sword?

He probably starts out with it at the very beginning of the game. Or, if not the very beginning, the first time he goes down to Hyrule. I imagine him not seeing bringing the sword as a very big deal, as if the sword is a common sight in Skyloft, and not some ancient artifact of theirs.
  6. Link1432

    ...Link Has Fists....

Chances are, the swordless parts are going to be stealth parts of the game (other than the beginning, to set up story). Hand-to-hand combat would be a really cool addition, but if they were going to add it, wouldn't they have had that as part of the E3 demo? It seems like the kind of addition to...

Sheikah in Skyward Sword. Too Early?

Well, if they had a whole village in the events before OoT, then I don't see why they wouldn't be more populous in a game preceding it. However, whether or not they will actually appear in the game... Personally, I don't see it happening, unless they take up a similar role as in OoT. They...

Which is the Minish Cap in the Title's Context?

In the literal sense of the meaning, Ezlo is the Minish Cap. He was originally a Minish that was turned into a cap by Vaati. That's how I see it, anyway. I see how the magic cap could be it, but to me, Ezlo makes more sense.
  9. Link1432

    Wii Motion Plus

I'm all for the MotionPlus controls. Even if they are a little glitchy now, Nintendo has plenty of time to refine it before release. Personally, I can't wait to try it out for myself.
  10. Link1432

    Stamina Bar: Make or Break?

I would like the idea more if they didn't have it for climbing. For running is fine, but unless Link can climb hyper-fast in this game (unlike TP; man, he was slow!), then I would want it for climbing.
  11. Link1432

    No Bolded Words In SS

I don't think that it'd be as annoying if they used it differently; bolding the place you have to go when you know you have to go there anyway is a little stupid, but if they just used it on important items and places, then it might be more effective. Something like: Random NPC: Have you heard...
  12. Link1432

    Graphics

I like the graphics. A lot. The first time I saw them, I really didn't like them. But, they've started to grow on me. It's bright, and colourful; the world feels alive.

Nintendo Says the Final Released Version is Going to Look Considerably Better.

I figured this one out long ago. I really don't see why everyone keeps thinking that the E3 demo is the final product.
  14. Link1432

    Zelda : Prophet of Light

I don't think it seems all that Zelda-ish to me, but then again, I had the same doubts about Spirit Tracks (the first time I watched the trailer, I heard the train whistle and I was like "Oh, you've got to be kidding me...") But anyways, until I see an official source as to where this came...

    More Zelda Wii Rumors

A lot of these seem to just be appealing to what fans have been pining for since... ever. Sounds a little too good to be true. Whether or not they're true, I'm taking these with a grain of salt. Though it'd be pretty cool if some of these were true...
  16. Link1432

Which is easier: Minish Cap or Phantom Hourglass?

I voted for PH overall, but I found its bosses a smidge harder than MC's. Everything else (dungeons, exploration, etc.) was far too easier than MC.
  17. Link1432

The Legend of Zelda: The Fall of Hyrule

Most likely a placeholder title. It does sound a lot cooler than Zelda Wii.
  18. Link1432

Why Zelda Wii Should Incorporate GCN/Classic Controller Option!

I agree with Jupiter on this one. Frankly, I don't see the advantages of severely limiting the the primary reason this game is going to be set apart from the others, simply in order to appease a slightly wider audience. If the advantages of the MotionPlus are not only innovative combat...

    Zelda Wii Soundtrack

I'm always impressed with Zelda music, and so I don't expect Nintendo to disappoint us in this department. While paying homage is good, I'd want them to keep it in moderation. The overworld themes in OoT and TP are some of my favourites because they're new and exciting. That's not to say that...
  20. Link1432

    Bosses

Most definitely. Bosses in games as early as OoT always use the item that you found in the dungeon to defeat them. It made figuring out how to kill them really quite easy, and then the only difficulty came from executing that tactic. The bosses should really just have a weakness that you could...

Locations From Past Games That You Think Should Return in Zelda Wii

One of the things they need is to have a lot more towns. Hyrule needs to be really populated. Kakariko Village, Castle Town, maybe even a Hyrulean Clock Town. There just needs to be more life in the land (and not just monsters). I would also like to see the return of some sort of coastal area...

    First Three Dungeons?

Seeing as they're saying their mixing up the formula for Zelda Wii, it's possible that won't happen. I'm okay with that, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to warm us up with a few introductory dungeons. But they would most definitely need some new themes for them. Something that wouldn't normally...

    Voice Acting in Zelda Wii?

The voice acting would have to be spot on for me to actually like it if it was implemented. It would be very easy for them to throw it in at the last minute. However, it has been stated that they won't release it until it's perfect, and if that includes the voice acting, then I'm all for it.
  24. Link1432

    Ganon's Psychological Profile

I haven't yet played WW, but from what I've heard/read, the Ganondorf in there was pretty awesome. So I would want more of a look into Ganondorf's motivations. But maybe not to feel sorry for him; the Ganondorf I see is the ultimate evil, and I want to see a lot more of that in the man.
  25. Link1432

    Sand Wand

Personally, I found it to be a really strange item. A wand that makes sand come up in a wall? Really? How was that ever useful before they locked it in the temple? But other than that, I agree. I was a cool puzzle solving tool. The Ends of the Earth Station annoyed the heck outta me, but it...
  26. Link1432

    New Temple Themes

Took the words right out of my mouth. I had that kind of instance when I first entered Jabu-Jabu. It didn't feel like a dungeon, and I think something like that could be really well implemented again.

    2010 or 2011?

Considering how long they've been working on it, I don't think there's much tweaking left they'd be doing on it. 2010 (most likely December) doesn't seem all that unlikely to me.

Top 10 : Zelda Spirit Tracks Themes and Songs

I agree with this somewhat. My Top 10 would be: 10. Underwater 9. Forest/Snow/Ocean Temple Theme 8. Inside Hyrule Castle 7. Tower of Spirits Dungeon 6. Ascending the Tower 5. Outside the Sanctuary 4. Opening Demo 3. Troubled Realm 2. Fraaz/Cragma Boss Battle 1. Overworld Theme

    Famous Last Words

"I had a great adventure. It was fun." That's what I think it was supposed to be. I don't think she loved Link; she just saw him as a cool guy to save the world with.
  32. Link1432

    What Is The Minish Cap?

I always saw the Minish Cap as Ezlo. He's much more important in the game than the magic cap is. For the kind of plot device that it was supposed to be, I felt the role that the magic cap played was significantly minute. It was the source of Vaati's power, and it fixed Hyrule in the end, but...

    Enemies and Bosses

Those Octorock-things were actually these guys. http://www.zeldawiki.org/Toadpoli Anyways, I think Wizzrobes would be cool. We haven't seen them for a while, and they could be reinvented really well. I did miss Octorocks. They should be on land in a console title for once.
  34. Link1432

    The Music of Spirit Tracks

I agree. I really do believe it. I loved every single song in the game. Especially the overworld themes (the main one, and the one when you first enter the Snow/Fire Realm), the title theme/final flute song, and the Tower of Spirits themes.

Twilight Princess More Popular for Game Cube??

I first noticed here on the forums. For some reason, people want their "classic" Zelda game, old-style controller and all. Being one of the few who actually liked Wii TP, this was really strange to me. I honestly don't know why the Gamecube version is more popular. Nostalgic controls? Lefty Link?

Have You Ever Broken a DS?

The hinge on my DS Lite has a nice little crack in it. It doesn't affect the operation at all, but the top half won't lock in place like it's supposed to. It just flops around, and my fingers on the L and R buttons have to hold it in the right position when I'm playing. Kind of annyoing, but I...

How Would You Like to Move Wihout Anything in Your Hand

So, what Microsoft is trying with Project Natal? I wouldn't want that. A controller can help to keep it grounded in (quasi-)reality, even if you're waving it around instead of pushing a button.

    Lantern Caves

I loved that one as well. All the twisty-turny tunnels; it had a nice abandoned mine feel to it. Overall, I did like the idea of the caves. They were a nice little sidequest to discover.

    Was Argorok Really That Impressive?

I actually liked Argarok. He was one of my favourite boss battles. To me, the surroundings play a lot into how much I like a boss battle (half of the reason I love the OoT final boss was the atmosphere). Dark, cloudy, rain pouring, lightning cracking. It was awesome. I also found it to be...

Favourite Final Boss Battle [May Contain Spoilers]

My favourite was OoT Ganon. The atmosphere was dark and foreboding, and you had this giant boar-monster trying to kill you. It was truly epic. I did like fighting him in TP, though. It was a fun battle, and I loved the horseback combat aspect.

The Little Things, or Where the @#$% Are My Octoroks?!

I just started replaying TP recently, and I noticed a few little things that could've been there. - The getting-wet mechanic. It was cool (to me, anyways), but it could be improved. In general, it could take longer. Maybe you dry quicker near a heat source? Or it takes a while in colder/wetter...

My best characters are Meta Knight, Toon Link, and Kirby. I don't really have a worst character, because I only really play as those three.
  46. Link1432

What Controller Options Would You Like?

I don't think Nintendo would waste it's time implementing multiple control schemes in Zelda Wii. It works for something like Brawl, where it's a nice novelty, but it wouldn't work the same way in a Zelda game. That said, I'm all for Wiimote-MotionPlus-Nunchuck controls. I loved the control...

Spoiler Rankings for Zelda Games You Own

    1. The Minish Cap Everything about this game I loved. It was a portable OoT in terms of feel; it had a brighterworld, a great soundtrack, a well thought story. Any time I feel bored with any other game, this is the one I turn to. And that, to me, is what makes it the best Zelda yet. 2. Ocarina...

    - Fully orchestrated soundtrack - Fullest extent of Wii graphics - More towns, or just more activity (so it's not just you and a bunch of enemies in the field) - More open overworlds (AKA less cliffs cutting you off) - Dungeons that don't feel like dungeons (let me explain. In OoT, it took me a...

    The Time Traveling Aspect.

That would be cool, as long as the changes were done in the right fashion. They'd have to be drastic, but not too far-fetched. If it's the same land, it's still gotta seem like the same place, after all. OoA was kind of like that (from what I can remember, it's been a while since I've played...
