I rarely ever used the shield for anything other than the shield bash to get rid of the deku shrubs or whatever they are in SS. I did really like the shields though and I felt safer when I had one with me! :D

I'd have to say the Hylian Shield since it's classic, but if I pretend that that's not an option, I'd have to say it's a tossup between the mirror shield in OoT and the Goddess Shield from SS. The mirror shield just looked cool and the Goddess Shield could heal itself!
