I think it's more like the main baddy's pet or something. It does not strike me as intelligent in the least, and it just doesn't have that "intimidation factor" normal villains, like Ghirahim, have.

So, according to ONM's review the "black beast" is called The Imprisoned and is imprisoned in the Sealed Grounds.

The strange creature is described as "Water Dragon" on the site, but the new videos say it's name is Faron, and it's a Spirit protecting the area since long ago.

It's name is apparentely (Water Dragon) Faron, and it's a Spirit that's been protecting the area for quite some time. At least, that's what I understood from the "Lake Floria" video.

Really, it's like Nintendo is making a full generational leap by adding tons of new features in this game. If this is indeed the new "basis" for next Zelda games, as Aonuma said, I can't imagine what masterpieces are going to follow.

Do we know for sure? All we've seen is Link opening the door, not what's behind. EDIT: you're probably right, since the Sky Temple is in the forest area, and the door has the same markings seen in the Temple, but I'm still having doubts...

I think the Sheikah-door could be the entrance to the Sky Temple or something... I don't know why, but I don't think it's a new temple.

Seriously, it would be the greatest thing ever if somewhere in the Sky, an island could be found with Tingle on it. Or better yet, just have him float around Skyloft hanging onto his red balloon. Just that would make this my favorite game of all time...

First of all, this is taken from Nintendo's official SS-website. Also, this obviously not the 'real' world map, but more of a abstract, simplyfied version. As Xinnamin said, it's probably more like a tease, and there will definitely be more to it.

Wow, don't go jumping the gun now! Nothing has been said about actually doing anything in FP mode. It's probably just to look around, not fight or anything. Especially since it uses the pointer to control the camera.
