There's not a single game out there that does something new, everything has been done before. WW didn't try anything new, Bayonetta doesn't, HW doesn't. Also how does not trying something new translate to being an average (at best) game? I can understand it's not your cup of tea, and this isn't...
It's definitely not for everyone. However there's a lot to love in this game, for instance all the love, care and detail in the Zelda elements, the beautiful soundtrack and the OCs are all great elements.
If theyd remove the damage count for the A rank or make it the equivalent of number hits on a normal stage, on those stages then they would be far more fun. There's still a challenge to actually not die on those stages, but getting hit does t automatically mean you can't win it anymore.
@Darkest
Something like Hero Mode and MQ is extra content. Just like people who set up challenges for themselves (3 heart challenge etc.). What we are talking about now is core gameplay. I'm pretty sure that if the the modes you mentioned were the standard way of playing the game the more casual...
There's a difference between a challenge and artificially making something difficult by just increasing hit points, attack powers, defense etc. a ton. There's a ton of creative ways they could have upped the difficulty, but instead they chose to just throw in the same old enemies powered up...
I encountered the afterglow as well indeed. I definitely do not want earbuds.
Problem with plugging in to the Gamepad is the mediocre sound you get, so not ideal. The main unknown for me at this point is if there are any (wireless) Headsets that work with the WiiU itself (so not the Gamepad), I...
We all know that games from the Big N feature some of the best music in games.
I've been thinking about getting headphones for my WiiU to get some better sound than the normal TV sound. I've been looking around, reading a bunch of old topics and am left feeling a bit confused to what's what...
I saw the notice that the Direct is tomorrow but had not considered the HW info yet. Will be difficult to balance the new smash and the DLC.... First world problems ;)
As far as I know the DLC characters' weapon (and presumably Epona and the 8-Bits) do not count towards all the weapons (so you don't have to collect them), since they are paid DLC (lvl 2-3 are on the DLC map). But you do have to get the lvl 1-3 iteration of each weapon that was released in the...
How do you mean you tried to make another player?
When do you die, any mission or one in particular? What do you mean with die? You instantly lose all your hearts or what?
I haven't made an effort to collect them yet. I have about 40-50 I think just from playing the normal Legend and Adventure Stages. I keep putting it off because there's still so many Costumes and Weapons to unlock.
I think Wizzro cn do one as well. You can juggle enemies in the air with BBB then dodge and do BBB again, you can start of with BY if you want. Not a devastating combo, but you can juggle like that and not allow a counter attack.
Had the same problem with the email the other day. Finally I changed my email on the wiki (to a gmail account) and I almost immediately received a notification.
Should be a bonus for the sender so to speak. I did receive a notification once, but it was mid battle and I was mashing away at my controller so it disappeared before I got a chance to see what it said. I did not notice a bonus either, but it could've been a bonus in EXP, Materials, Drops, etc...
MQ so far is not necessarily easier, but different from the original. There more variations to the types of missions you have to do than in the original, and there are often only 2 things measured (out of damage taken/time/KO's) so it's somewhat easier to get A rank. Maybe this will change once...
I had no idea that the Strong Attack followed by Combo works like that, I may have done it once or twice accidentally (once I had three Gohmas which I haven't been able to reproduce since). I'll give that one a try soon.
Thanks for the tips, if I don't have to use the great fairy to get the...
Stuck on Lvl 2 Great Fairy. Really hate this weapon and level. The Great Fairy takes up a lot of the screen making it hard to see what you are doing. The combos aren't particularly good and those Dinolfos take forever to die, plus there's a lot of reinforcements. Any tips on how to do this one?
Just tried out the Summoning Gate for Lana for the first time. I think the idea is really cool. The special attack is the best thing I've seen in the game. Fighting is a bit odd though, I went through a big part of a stage that was maybe a bit above my level at that time by just spamming Y and...
Sorry for the unasked placement of your names guys, should have asked :)
Haven't been able to help anyone yet, but will see in a sec what it entails. As I understand it helping a friend also provides a better reward, maybe this means more slots/stars or a better (maybe gold) resource.
Haven't played Master Quest a lot yet, want to unlock all the weapons on the old one first, although my love for Volga may cause me to break that resolve sooner rather than later. Only got the Hero's Clothes Master Quest costume for Link so far.
On Epona, got her third tier weapon just now...
Not to burst your bubble mate, but that list is really not useful if you are looking for people who actually own the game. This isn't meant as a comprehensive list of Nintendo IDs, but as a way to scout out people who are willing to help/receive help with the Network Link feature. This topic has...
We kind of hijacked another topic on this, so thought it would be a good idea to create a new one fore exchanging friend names. Network Links that are on your friend list give better rewards, and if your own link is helped by a friend you get a bonus! Unfortunately ost of us won't have many...
Heard nobody about the Epona weapon yet, you guys liking it?
For me it's a fun weapon but quite hard to use properly against captains. For most characters when I fight against a Poe for instance, I just stand behind them when they are performing their attack and attack when the weakness gauge...
One thing that may help is trying to get Bombs+ on a good weapon. With these levels I usually just ignore the bosses and go for the mobs. The bomb upgrade allows you to kill big mobs quickly and move out of the Giant Boss's way.
I'm still working on Adventure Map at the moment not even thinking about Master Quest, still 24 weapon(s) (upgrades) to go :)
What level are you guys characters on? My powerhouse is Link on 61, couple of 40 guys (Zelda, Ganondorf, Impa) and couple in the high 30's (Volga, Lana). The rest around...
The rewrards for the fights are based on the best lvl weapon available to you. Up till today I only had the Lvl 3 Gauntlets so all I got was lvl 3 Gauntlets, but today I got Lvl 3 for Impa's Sword, and both Links Fire Rod and Hylian Sword. Instantly a lot of extra options. You've probably seen...
Played this mission yesterday and first made the mistake to go for Agitha instead of Argorok. Go Argorok and ignore Agitha, Zant will be stopped long enough by Volga to allow you to beat Argorok and intercept Zant. If you want you can also pop in to heal Volga and then beat Agitha for the...
Thanks for the tips guys, only used him for two fights, I had no idea that his meter worked like that. That should definitely help a lot. I was already wondering how to do the spin attack, only managed the laser attack till now. His stomp attacks is really good for clearing out keeps.
Finally did the lvl 2 Baton level for Zelda, pretty wide margin during my final attempt as well. Also unlocked the last character with Zant. He's hard to pin down as a fighter if I'm honest, his attacks seem far less powerful than you'd expect and his recovery time make me wonder what his upside...
