Waiting for our isp to either get our sim card manually updated or send us an activated card. It's been 3 weeks since At&t disabled 25000 sim cards that belonged to ISPs that use at&t to provide internet.
One day we'll have wifi again
How crazy this summer has been so far.
Ive had to live at friends' places the past couple weeks since my trailer had been in the shop since early May
Also 5 week courses are crazy fast. I have a midterm for my summer1 course on Thursday.
Middle of the dead week before finals. I pretty much have nothing to do but study. Well and write a short <10pg term paper my partner and I have been putting off.
I have my first 2 finals back to back a halfhour aparr on friday.
Well soon I'm going to be working as a peer teacher here on campus. I'll be teaching workshops and possibly doing some tutoring for undergrad electrical engineering courses.
I'm pumped to be getting paid to help fellow students learn.
Went to a going away party for a friend tonight. Next week she leaves for Sydney, to follow her dream to study veterinary medicine focusing on big cats. I've only known her for a couple years now, but I can already tell that I'm going to miss not having her around. This summer after her husband...
Grades are up
Looks like I had 2Bs and 2As,
One of the Bs I knew I was getting since the class was a lot rougher than it needed to be.
The other B caught me by surprise since I was doing fairly well in that class. The only thing that I can think of is that I made too many little mistakes on...
Beginning to accept the reality that my signals and systems class will be the death knell of my 4.0 GPA (straight A's). The only hope for my grade now is that there is a curve and that I'm on the right side of it; otherwise I'll probably get a B. That class sucked more than it really needed to...
Had an awesome day spending time with my parents. They came out this weekend to help me fix a leak in the roof of my trailer. Looks like some caulk peeled away from a fan and was letting water through. Anyway, we think we have it fixed. I also got some groceries and a pair of work boots out of...
After musing about my college experience so far I've made a few observations:
A good professor can replace a bad textbook.
A good textbook can replace a bad professor.
You generally get neither, but the internet can replace both.
So I wrote an easter egg into one of the matlab functions I was supposed to write as homework this week.
The function takes an input string S and a value n to create a n by n 'square' of string S. Square in quotes because the full character array isn't necessarily a square array.
Finished my first diff eq exam this morning. Oddly enough I feel at peace about it.
It's surprising since I went to bed last night dreading it after spending the evening in frustrated in fruitless study where nothing was clicking.
I think something is up with the water heater in my travel trailer, woke up to water on the floor this morning.
My dad is going to come out Thursday and take a look.
In the meantime, I guess I'll be using the park's showers. yay
On the positive side, I think I did well on the...
You've been training your whole life for this. :P It can't be that much different than your job as moderator. ;)
I have a Diff. Eq quiz this morning. I'm kind of wishing i'd have had more time to do more of the homework than just the problems required to be turned in.
Have you tried seltzer water? Basically it's just sugar free flavored carbonated water. It usually doesn't have any sweetners at all.
La Croix and Canada dry have some good tasting ones.
I like drinking them because they don't make my legs go nuts unlike regular sodas.
