It's been 18 years since Super Smash Bros. Melee released in North America. Still my favorite game in the franchise. It's so old it's legal now. ;) Time sure flies. But my mind being blown all those years back igniting my love for Smash will always stick with me.
It's just come to my attention that Dragon Ball Evolution was released 10 years ago today. What an awful movie, but its awfulness is what inspired Akira Toriyama to come back to Dragon Ball and provide outlines for Super.
With Sony announcing State of Play, which is basically their version of Nintendo Directs, you have to think that this style of presentation where game companies communicate directly to fans is the future.
Got my teaching assistant evaluations today. 20/21 students gave me a 4 or 5 out of 5 in every category. But one person gave me some 1s and 2s. I imagine that's the person that barely passed the class.
It's a shame my fears about the Playstation Classic have been confirmed: Poor selection of games and extremely blurry visuals for 3D titles. I hope Nintendo does a better job with the inevitable N64 Classic, even if Rare games are unlikely to be included.
