Looking at the old Future Forum Talk chat, it was as early as June 2013 that we were discussing a shift to Xenforo as an alternative.

Not that it is at all relevant to this thread, but there are few left who remember that the subject of switching to Xenforo was brought up in a skype chat designated for discussion on moving to a new software that is less taxing on the server more than a year before the move actually happened...

Wow this thread is the most active at 5am my time... I seem to be having an easier time finding addons for IP Board than I ever have with Xenforo. If anyone remembers we also lost lots of additional things when we switched a year ago. This does mean we might have things like blogs back, etc...

Yea that's the way I see it too, but apparently letting them keep their forum was supposed to be our way of throwing them a bone and letting them keep something in the takeover. More likely than people realize when I brought it up almost a month ago. Do not think I have heard much else on it since.

Like I had said in a previous thread there were two reasons for our move. As stated here, the ZI forums have that nifty plugin that allows merges Disqus and forum accounts to a single login/register. I have been looking for something like that for Xenforo but I have only found a single thing...
