Sorry for being a pest, but did you use fractals to make that epic background in the 3rd picture above? I tried to experiment with them and I had no idea what to do.
Anyways, talent for pop-out signatures takes time. I've only ever attempted one, and it didn't turn out the best at all.
I would actually Really like to know how you did that background for the 3rd Link sig above. I think on thing that would make it infinitely better is to try to blend it with the background a little
Some methods are to:
-Select a rough outline of the character > Right Click>select>Feather...
Holy crap, holy crap! HH that is amazing! I love everything about it. Did you learn how to do that in a tutorial? If so I would like to see it.
Also, did you make you're current signature? Cause that's really good too.
I have recently been teaching myself the wonders of the path tool in GIMP. It's very helpful for cutting out individual people from full pictures and for creating abstract shapes.
Here is a picture of Sasuke from Naruto that I created only with the path and pencil tools:
I am a bit...
That actually looks like a decent desktop! I can see that you used the perspective tool a lot. I've never used it that much myself, but I can see how it works well in desktop wallpapers.
In short, great work and keep it up!
Wow! That looks really cool! I always love practical art projects like these; they are much better and painting if you ask me. It's a very creative concept that has probably never been done! I cannot wait to see the finished product. Good luck to you!
P.S. This probably should've gone in...
I recently created a set of composed of a tag and an avatar. Both are based of Bleach (a Japanese manga/anime).
Two versions of the avatar, both based of Axle the Beast's.
Could I please have your input on the set? And which avatar do you think is better?
The reason why it has changed is because you saved it in JPEG format. When you want to make it have better quality you need to save it .png
Nice attempt by the way! It's much better than my first.
Twilight link, those two tags are beyond awesome. I really need to learn some new techniques.
:xd: Smitie! That has to be one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time! I can't believe that a game company actually put that in the game. Very nice copy/paste work.
My latest creation is based off this picture from Lord of the Rings...
Wow! Nice works of art!
I was going to comment on them in your thread but it got closed.
Those are really nice drawings and I'm especially interested with the ones that you did in photoshop. I'd LOVE to know how you went about making those because I think it may be possible to also do in...
Thanks! I'm beginning to thing that the text was a mistake too. I also used it in my Link signature.
Yes Petman, like Chise said, you always need to save in PNG format. It makes your tags 100 times better. The only exception is if you need it to be animated.
And to Chise, I love your...
Try putting your render on a black or white background, smudge like crazy, and then put another copy of the render on top of that.
An easy way to make backgrounds on GIMP is to use the Lava filter and experiment with different gradients.
I used the smudge technique on this:
I used the Lava...
Dark_Kokiri, both really amaze me.
The first one in wonderfully done with background and the stock.
And the second, guitar one is one of the coolest things I have seen in a while. I would like to know how you went about doing it and what program you use.
I think the text looks good.
Dobombster, you will always be a GIMP master. Mind if I come to you whenever I am curious with something in Gimp?
I do have one question. In the first image how did you do the outline of Link? It is a very cool effect that I might use in the future. Also I think you might have used that...
here are a lot of mine. I'll post my best as images and the rest as links. remember You can request from me! I use Gimp.
