I don't think it'd hurt them at all to make a new Sci-fi IP. They don't have much else new going on in that area, so why not? I think it'd also be good for them to try and make some memorable characters from a Sci-fi IP that people would see and immediately think of Nintendo.

After going through a dungeon, only to fight a bad boss at the end, is really disappointing to me. This is because after solving puzzles and finding all the extra goodies, if there are any, I expect a really good boss battle to top it off. It doesn't ruin the entire dungeon experience for me...
