So guys, remember when I said I'd make a blog post kinda like the one I did for cats, explaining their origins and development through the ages, describing them scientifically and such, and I said I'd do one for dogs? Well, I did. So for all lovers of Canids, here you go...

No, it's not as serious as cirrhosis or cancer. Avoided the two biggies! Basically I'll be on anti-inflammatories (steroids). I was just kidding because I'm doing physical therapy for my back, so steroids combined with light workouts, might build muscle, lol.

Lol, basically I'll be on steroids to lower the inflammation and it usually goes away on its own. So steroids combined with physical therapy, I'm hoping to get a little swole, lol.

So I don't have cancer or cirrhosis! I have sarcoidosis, which is something I've never heard of.

I have a blog planned on the history of Canids as a whole, including canids that aren't necessarily dogs, in that they don't descend from the wolf. I also plan to include the one I already did on cats, tie dogs into that with the clade Carnivora, which would also include seals, bears, and other...

Honestly? The cheapest option. The good news is that whatever I have is caught early enough to be treatable, but I hope it's not cancer, not for the reasons that I don't want cancer (no one does), but because cancer treatment even with insurance is f*cking expensive.

I got my results back. And they're mixed. They don't know if it's cancer, or if it's cirrhosis, or what's going on. I'm getting a liver biopsy on the 16th because assuming it's cirrhosis, nothing is typical. I don't drink much at all, so it wasn't brought on by alcohol abuse as is typical, we...

Since I saw @Chevywolf30 do an answer thingy, here's one I did. Do you put ketchup on hotdog? Sure, why not? Choice of Pop? Coca-Cola. Do you put salt on watermelon? No. That's awful. Can you swim? Yes. Favorite underwater creature? The Great Hammerhead Shark. Apex predator, scared of the...

That's if you use the movable do solfège system. I could do a blog on it, but you'll find it's incredibly similar to the Nashville system when it comes to chords, and identical to the normal musical alphabet when discussing notes, just with fancy names.

I'm looking to learn Old Norse. In the new Viking metal project I'm in, there's a song that has a spoken word bit, and it would be cooler in Old Norse. So, that's my new project, learning Old Norse and how to write it.

Oh, that's palm muting, which is pretty ubiquitous throughout most metal. I did a whole blog post about it in my Art of Metal Guitar series. You basically take the karate chop portion of your hand and place it near the bridge, and strike the strings. This causes the low end to fatten up and...

So, back from the oncologist. No biopsy, chances of it being lymphoma are lower, but I do have something going on with my liver and spleen. So blood tests, and the results will be in two weeks. Not out of the woods yet.

I rewatched The Godfather and The Godfather Part II. Those movies are cinematic masterpieces. Beautifully written, beautifully acted, beautifully shot, and beautifully directed. I really appreciate that each character acts in a way that's logically consistent with their character, and isn't...

Honestly, you're a good person, and it may take a while to realize that. As long as you love yourself, and treat others with courtesy and respect, you'll be fine. It feels good to talk these things out, because it shows you're not alone. Like, I don't get into true crime much, but that one...

Just create for yourself first. Share it when you think it's ready, not because you have some obligation to. Like there's a reason I never share videos of me learning or writing a new song, or videos of me practicing. :)

Bud, just don't try to please people, because if you try to please everyone, you end up pleasing no one. I firmly accept that not everyone's going to like me, not everyone's going to share my interests or hobbies, and not everyone's going to care or read my blog posts. That's fine, I accept it...

Oh no, I don't have leukemia, I have lymphoma. Here's the story of how I found out. My wife thinks I have too much of an independence streak, so I moved an amp at an awkward angle, so I didn't have proper support when I lifted it. Mind you, it was a tube amp, which are way heavier than typical...

Last time I was at a zoo, I experienced a tiger roar, and talk about an intimidating roar, because it almost felt like my bones were rattling! And the other tiger was very interested in a wild rabbit he saw hopping around outside the enclosure. A powerful, and regal animal, as well as shrewd...
