The Bolts did it! They managed to beat the Isles in OT in Game 6 to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals! I'm both elated and relived, since I really thought they'd blow it yet again. Now only one team stands between them and the Cup. Just wow.

I'm just super ecstatic that the Bolts somehow managed to score with 7.8 seconds left to win Game 2 and go up 2-0 in their series. Definitely didn't deserve it, but I'll gladly take it.

After getting a bit concerned and worried about the possibility of having to return to my work's office, they announced we'll remain working from home until at least the end of August, so that's made me happy and given me some relief for the time being.

Tonight was the first occurrence of what I've dubbed the "Kilza hat trick" this NHL season (Bolts win, Oilers win, Flames lose - basically, my two favorite teams winning and my most hated team losing in the same night), so that's pretty rad.

I'm happy I finished yet another game today, which brought my backlog down to just 20 games. Just crazy how I've managed to get it down so much in 8 months, given that it was originally at 100 in May.
