A Zelda game without Link? That would be awkward. Not saying the game will suck, but without Link it doesn't really feel like a Zelda game.
Also, one rumor, and that's all it is, is that the person in the trailer is Link's brother and Link dies so his brother takes over. Sounds kinda wacky...
Something about this screams New Hyrule or a new land. I'm not quite sure what it is yet. But if it is a sequel to Wind Waker I won't mind IF they act as though Spirit Tracks or the trains never happened. I don't like the idea of trains, but I would like to explore New Hyrule only if Spirit...
I usually avoid youtube now a days when it comes to spoilers, but this wasn't from youtube it was from: http://venturebeat.com/2014/06/10/zelda-creator-teases-that-we-didnt-see-link-in-wii-u-trailer/
There are only 2 comments.
But it is only a theory not a spoiler, right?
Thank goodness. The reason I get so upset over these rumors is because a while back a new game came out and I was reading the youtube comments and someone said the ending and it turned out to be true. So everytime I read what someone writes about the story I tend to believe it.
I can't...
I read this comment on a site. The person was saying it as though it were a fact and not speculation.
If this is true this really ticks me off that people have to go and ruin it for others.
I don't want to see Zelda technology go past ST. I loathed Spirit Tracks and because of Spirit Tracks the AT is my least favorite timeline. I hated Temple of the Ocean King but still liked Phantom Hourglass better than Spirit Tracks.
I don't think its possible to advance in the Adult Timeline...
Were you disappointed when you finally got to go to old hyrule in TWW under the ocean only to discover that you could not explore it?
I know I was. I remember playing it and thinking: Oh. My. This. Is. Old Hyrule. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Then when I found out you couldn't explore...
It's been a while since I played Majora's Mask but if I had to choose between a longer story or more side quests I would choose a longer story that would hopefully have more locations/areas to explore/discover.
I voted "Yes, but only for magic items."
I'm going to be 100% honest here. The magic meter (edit: ok it was an "item meter" but still) should not work against things that don't require magic such as arrows, bombs etc. I would rather have to buy/look for arrows than have an unlimited amount I...
I was thinking about it, but I think it's been done before. I was also curious as to which people would like better because I always hear a lot of people say how much they liked "Link's Awakening".
Having a hard time deciding on Epona or being alone. I think it really depends on how the layout of the overworld/darkworld will be. On one hand, I want something similar to The Legend of Zelda (1st Zelda) and Link's Awakening. On the other hand I want to be able to ride Epona and fight on...
Magical Medieval Fantasy.
I can't stand Spirit Tracks. Spirit Tracks ruined the Adult Timeline for me. Keep vehicles, such as trains, out of Zelda in my opinion.
Don't bother reading this. I had forgotten this was this Wind Fish's dream. can't believe I forgot.
Everyone you see in your dreams you have seen in real life. I believe that all the characters in Link's Awakening were or have a great chance of existing. To me, this does not mean that Link's...
I would be kind of ticked off because we already wait long enough for new Zelda games (for good reason though. I would rather wait for a long time and get an amazing Zelda, but I'm not sure if I would be able to wait that long. It would just become Metroid status) and I'm not sure how much I'd...
Classic Hyrule. It reminds me of a world that once was. Something so big, so powerful, now gone and nowhere to be found. Something about this makes it so mysterious.
I would love to see the fall of Hyrule and how it became the barren wasteland it was in Zelda 1. Maybe halfway through the game...
I wasn't paying attention and forgot I was in the Wii U section. I meant to put this in the General Zelda section. I was going to after I realized the mistake, but thought that if I posted it again in a different section people would think I was spamming.
I would like to be able to save anywhere. I don't enjoy having save points, unless it's auto-save. Even then, I would like to have both auto-save and save when I want.
Sure, they all have something Zelda-ish obviously. I guess what I should have asked was which timelines do you think incorporated the best gameplay mechanics, puzzles, story, etc.
Sorry for the confusion.
I would like to see what happens between ALTTP/ALBW and the original Zelda. I would like to see the fall of Hyrule and how it became the barren wasteland we all saw in Zelda 1.
Ok, I tried to explain it, although its a bit confusing.
I guess I mean, which Zelda timeline do you think incorporates the most Zelda elements (puzzles, gameplay, etc.)
Yes, this
Which timeline do you think incorporated the best gameplay mechanics, puzzles, story?
Which timeline do you feel incorporated the best gameplay mechanics, puzzles, story, etc.?
I was watching IGN on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxawTH87PHk) and at 17:18 the guy said that Nintendo will announce a new Zelda tomorrow.
Not sure if old new; just though it would be something you would all like to know about.
I voted "don't know/care" because ST is my least favorite Zelda and I honestly don't care about it as I found it to be boring. It felt like an on-rails game at times. I couldn't stand the train at all. ST is my least favorite Zelda game.
I think the game would have been better had we been...
I have mixed feelings.
I liked the idea that I could have all the items at once.
However, I feel that it made the game too easy and I get greater satisfaction from earning my items rather than buying/renting them.
For the next Zelda game, I would want it to be non-linear (I'm not saying that...
How did the Hylian Shield end up in Lorule?
This is something I've been thinking about since I got it (I have already beaten the game).
I was going to say that the Hylian shield ended up in Lorule from MM (if one were to assume that Lorule is Termina), but the shield Link used in MM was the...
Yeah, I just beat Palace 4 and am about to do Palace 5 now. I got the heart container that was in the ocean above Palace 5.
A lot of Palace 4 was backtracking for me because I took a break for a while and just started playing it again today and apparently I already did some of level 4 from...
Thanks! and Awesome! More lives! Yay!

1 more question. I'm playing the gba port of AOL. I know I can save, but is there a way to save with my xp without it (the xp) starting over?
