“It's better than Ocarina of Time!”

It really is. Focusing on a target and then rotating 360 around it really isn't that much. Don't get me wrong, it was a very useful mechanic back then, but nothing absolutely groundbreaking. "Hey guys, you can focus on objects in video games now!" It's just not anything that would have made me...

Breath of the Wild How about the Dark World?

So is Just Cause 2. There really isn't much reason for Zelda U to be hindered by the hardware. I can only imagine that the game hasn't been optimized yet. Either way, I actually prefer this artstyle because it ages better than realistic artstyles and gives the game more personality.

“It's better than Ocarina of Time!”

Ocarina of Time didn't revolutionize gaming or set any standards except for Z-targetting. Mario 64 introduced us to fully 3D graphics with explorable areas and context sensitive buttons. Tomb Raider came out a year later and was a 3D action-adventure game. Then Ocarina of Time came out and...

Breath of the Wild How about the Dark World?

The 360 and PS3 are capable of handling Just Cause 2 and Skyrim. Zelda U's style seems to be an artistic direction. Same reason that Skyward Sword had its artstyle, despite not being any more demanding than Twilight Princess.

Breath of the Wild How about the Dark World?

Not really. You're forgetting the Wii U is actually more powerful than last-gen Xbox and Playstation. Zelda U's not gonna restrained by any technological limitations.

Breath of the Wild How is your excitement for Zelda Wii U?

Tentative. I really, really, want Zelda U to be good, but here's the thing: Big Open World games are almost NEVER EVER pulled up with the cohesion required to make anything good. It's why Skyrim feels shallow, and why Just Cause 2's big map is only used for crashing planes and blowing up...

    Worst titled Zelda

Twilight Princess. Seriously, before I got into Zelda I thought it was some crappy My Little Pony licensed game. And then when I played I thought it was gonna be fanservice towards all the 14 year old girls in the Zelda franchise. Which it was, but it was still a good game.

    Worst Game Genre?

I guess the childish attitude is the main appeal in FPS games for me. It's a genre that doesn't take itself too seriously and its reliance of twitch action and the movement physics is what makes them so engaging.

Breath of the Wild How about the Dark World?

I dunno, the world in Zelda U is supposed to be ****ing HUGE, and I would rather them spend most of their space on making better content instead of just making the world bigger.

    Stressful games?

STALKER. It's like modern Fallout but with a darker tone and much more difficult.

Do you play many AAA game?

Depends on what you mean. I play a lot of classic AAA games. I don't think I've ever played a game made past the year 2013. We get the occasional gem like Fallout: New Vegas or Shadow Warrior, but I can't name very many good ones to come out in the past 8-9 years. I'm mostly a retro gamer...

    Relaxing games?

Pikmin is fairly challenging but also very relaxing in its atmosphere. I hardly ever squeeze the controller while playing Pikmin. Elder Scrolls games are just very easy. I really only play Skyrim just to explore and see the scenery. I mean, really I have the difficulty cranked up to Expert and...

    Worst Game Genre?

Yeah, there are a few good independent games, but indie really has become a bit of a genre of its own over the past few years. Not in a gameplay sense, but in more of a matter in the direction in which the developers design their games. Honestly I think games like Life is Strange are the worst...
