My birthday is December 31st so I go to dinner, drink and fail to remember it all the next day.

My parents are heavily into video games but my mom used to play Super Mario Bros way back in the 80's when we first bought Nintendo and we all used to play Atari. I've played Mortal Kombat with my dad on occasion and he usually plays hockey games.

I'm not really sure why this surprises you. Nintendo has always been more geared towards younger kids. X-Box and PS are more geared towards the older, more mature crowd. A lot of kids are playing games now and Nintendo is being SMART about it by making games that appeal to younger kids...
