I used to play the clarinet, and was about to start piano classes when I stopped studying music.
I studied in the best music school in my city, but then I got into advanced and I had to spend even more time and put even more effort in it. I was already having classes from 2 to 7 pm! So I quit. I could study in other schools, but they focus only in the instrument playing, and almost nothing on the music theory, and I would like to compose, so that's important for me.
