  • Do you think BotW 2 will have Amiibo support like the original? I sure hope so, it’ll be nice to get some easy armor supposing we’re stuck with the Well-Worn set again or the Hylian set like the trailer.

I hope I can hang out with Wolf Link more. Even better, it'll let me be him again.

(Also, why do you not make threads for these questions?)

I don’t really think it warrants it’s own thread. It’s just a question that will probably be answered at E3 2021.
There’s one thing the older titles have that BotW doesn’t.
most BotW fights are just jumping off a high place and firing a hundred arrows and swigging a dozen stamina elixirs.
While TP’s second boss requires for you to use the Wind Boomerang to fling bombs into the enemy’s mouth and whack their weak point repeatedly. It’s nice that there are puzzles right before the fight that teach you the necessary skills to defeat said boss. Not to mention it’s a blast to power through the dungeon with your new seemingly OP item and rip up every little secret in the game.
In BotW, what’s that one weird armor combination that you just can’t seem to avoid wearing frequently?
For me, it’s the Cap of the Wild, Hylian Tunic (dyed green) and Hylian trousers

Oh. I mean, if you’re fighting a Lynel with a spear, fully enhanced Barbarian Armor will work. Considering the spear deals 30 damage and you have 60 defense.
And it seems like even with a Savage Lynel Sword, it breaks before the Lynel is down. (I use fresh ones with durability +). I gotta use Barbarian armor in order to make it last, and even then, it can only take like 4 more hits afterwards.
But I think I have a solution to your dilemma. Wear high defense gear or whatever area it fits and use a dish. 4 bananas and a horn shard work really well.

for lynels, the best way to beat them is by shooting them in the face to stun them
then, you can get on your back and use your strongest weapon to smack them a few times. This doesn't use up weapon durability. Once you get flung off, you can take out your bow to land a few more headshots in bullet time, then when you land repeat this process. You won't have to worry about durability except for the bow, which the lynel will happily replace for you once you've defeated it

this is kind of my problem with the combat in general, there are lots of fancy tricks you can do like flurry rushes or those combat scenarios that you see on youtube sometimes, but it just makes no sense to waste all that time and resources when you can just take them down efficiently with a bow and a beatstick

I know that, I’m just talking about armor.
And the only tricks I’ll probably use is the bow spin once I learn it
And even then, you need Amiibo to do it effectively.
So... the reason past me (@ChimeraWarden ) stopped going on is because I was looking around in my account settings and somehow signed out. My dumbarse didn’t write the U & P down, so I was kinda screwed.
So a few months later (right now) I made a new account (and wrote it down this time) so yeah
    Also hey @S.t.n.h
Welcome to ZD Chimera! It's nice to meet you. I hope you have a great time here and make a bunch of friends!

What Zelda games do you like? My first Zelda game was Twilight Princess, it's still my favorite, though BotW is getting really close to being tied with TP for favorite haha. It's a great game.

I can tell you like BotW just by looking at your avvy. :)

@Echolight Breath of the Wild is by far my favorite game, although link to the past is pretty great
And really, I’m not new to forums. Just this one specifically

Breath of the Wild is definitely a gem. It was the first open world game I've played, and pretty much the only one I've played so far haha. One of my favorite things to do it in is just explore. Seeing all the wildlife and the beautiful scenery is very relaxing. It has one of the best art styles I've ever seen. It combines Wind Waker's cel-shading and bright colors with Twilight Princess's realistic look.

I haven't played Link to the Past, but I maybe I'll get it someday. Looks nice from what I've seen.

Well, I hope this forum is as nice as others you've joined. <3
