  • You do have a great point there. And if not the return of midna, I would beg for a return of a boss such as zant or vaati. So maybe Zant did drive himself out of his mind, thus killing himself, but gannon is one to come back many times after being destroyed. I think Zant deserves a chance once again to be in the limelight, after being a minion to Ganon. Vaati is another one like Zant. Vaati was a character of the cute and whimsical "toon" zelda. I figured that if Ganon can come back looking different than he did previously, why can't a character like Vaati? I would hope for a 3d zelda with the final boss being vaati; with a graphic style like the one in Skyward Sword or Twilight Princess.
Well i doubt he read your entire speech.. it was a good one at that. He just has a lot against the entire game! Personally, I DO want midna back. Because at least she had emotion. In SS, it took the entire game for fi to half realize what love is. And she said she didn't know what to do with it!
I saw your Vm on Azure Sage's Page about Midna. Midna>Fi. Midna is just way cooler than Fi because fi sounds like a you put a Xerox machine in a washing machine and Midna sounds a little nicer than that..
Naw, it's more like I am able to see past Midna's supposed "character". Assuming that's why you like her, for her "character". Like I said, I didn't really read that long VM of yours. :P
It'd be better if this wasn't forced. You're able to not pick up arrows, so, in reality, you can actually make the limits yourself. That's one of the cool things about Zelda if you ask me. The ability to limit yourself if you want to, but not being forced to. Of course, some limits are needed, but they don't all need to be extreme.

Oh, and you said SS's enemies don't attack earlier. Lol, can't say I agree there. :3
One thing: Midna is infinitely worse than Fi. In every single aspect. Period. End of story. Also,
Arrows were plentiful, but you couldn't carry very many, so the two extremes really counteracted each other and formed a mutual relationship. I really felt it was the proper balance for the Zelda franchise. Zelda's a series that's all about combining strategy with convenience, and over the recent years, the convenience didn't just take the front seat, it took control of the wheel. I feel SS in general brought that balance back, and even did it better than past titles. That's one of the main reasons SS is my favorite Zelda game, as well as my favorite game period.

Wow, I didn't mean to include the scary dungeons part.

I want Zelda to Emulate the Resident Evil Series in a few ways actually. Not with zombies and stuff (although that would make for a sweet minigame), but rather with limited ammo. With the Resident Evil series (especially before RE4), you had to be very careful with your ammo and supplies as there was a very very limited amount. While I realize that since Link has a sword, the use of ammo such as bombs and arrows isn't exactly needed nearly as much. But I want this to change.

    ...

Overall, there is a lot that Zelda could learn from the Survival Horror genre. The games could have some scarier Dungeons and areas (not all just some), they could have enemies that cause meaningful damage, and they could reduce the amount of supplies that enemies and grass drop. I'm a huge fan of Resident Evil and I would love to see some of these elements implemented in Zelda WiiU and Zelda 3DS.

You gotta admit, Skyward Sword did a pretty good job with this. And I'm saying that because it legit did, not because "lulz I like SS".
