Math. After that, science. Though for both I learned far more in my own personal research than I ever did in school. Not because the school was lacking, but because it simply didn't have the scope that I wanted to cover myself. I went into high school calculus already knowing more about it than you would several college classes into it. My thirst for knowledge is a lifelong obsession. I'm always watching documentaries, reading up on the latest discoveries, practicing complex and difficult math problems. Always pushing my horizon.

Lol that's funny because my sister has switched three times now. She went from a Psychology major to a Secondary Education Major to a Biology Major. Just curious what majors have you switched from?

Now that I think about it I only switched three times (so far). I went from Pre-Physical Therapy to Biochemistry to Premedicine to Accounting. The second and third are actually so similar that I don't know why I went through the trouble of switching at all. I think I'm going to stick with Accounting but I might add another degree in Psychology (already have enough classes for a minor). Then I might complete medical school prerequisites and still go there despite majoring in accounting as an undergraduate. I'm not so sure that I will though because it is a lot of work.

So basically at the start I planned on graduating in Pre-Physical Therapy but now it looks like I'll finish with two degrees in Accounting and Psychology with a minor in something (need to pick one because I will only have time to do one and not everything I want to do).

To me classical Greece/Rome is a bit of a dry subject. I guess I just never got too much into it. If you find it interesting definitley take AP World History once it's offered to you in high school because we spent a week on Greece/Rome. I can definitley see why it would be interesting though.

Science and English are the subjects I am most passionate about. I will also be taking a class called "Intro to Communications," which is a necessity if I want to take classes like Graphic Design.

It definitely can be. often it depends on how it's taught, ( I happen to have an amazing teacher) But if you think about how ingenious the idea of democracy was, and how out of the blue it emerged in athens, and how awesome hannibal was when he crossed the alps with full war elephants... Sorry I'm rambling. sorry.

Definitely poetry.

I'm not depressed, or over emotional, or have a thousand unsolvable problems in my life that I need to express. But, angst filled poetry is my game. Sorrow is shared by many souls, and I like to "feel" that connection when I read and write deep poems. Sometimes, they don't make sense. Others, they are so clear that I can paint a picture with them. My school doesn't do long poetry units () but they are fun.

I like lighthearted poetry as well, but am a fail at writing it. EPIC FAIL ALERT

I'm not perfect, and people don't always like my work or understand it. But I am passionate about it, and plan to become an English professor just to teach it.

Yea I completley agree with you. Did you know that Justinian, the emperor of the Byzantine was born in Macedonia and in a family of peasants? He was nn incredibly smart man and brilliant politician to work his way up to the ranks as Emperor of the Byzantine.

Also, did you know that the Mongols while traversing on horseback 50 miles a day didn't carry water? Instead, they used a blades of grass and knives to cut wholes into the veins of their horses and drank their blood to quench their thirst. They couldn't carry water because extra weight ment they traveled slower. Incredibly intelligent people.

They also were the first people in recorded history to use biological warfare. They flung the dead bodys of their comrads who fell due to disease over city walls to infect the people so they couldn't fight back. It amazes me as how in most battles they were outnumberd 10:1 yet they formed the biggest land empire history has ever known of. They rival Atilla and the Huns.

Incredibly fascinating subject the Mongols are.

I'm in highschool, and pretty much hate all the courses I'm taking. Yay. But I am taking multimedia (photoshop and stuff) next semester, so I think I'll enjoy that!

What's also amazing is that while people admire the English longbow so much (and they should), The Mongol Bows had a drawback of about 100 to 150 pounds. The English ones were around 75.

I'd also heard that sometimes they'd take the prisoners they had and force them through gates first, so in the heat of battle the chinese shot the prisoners instead of the mongols and wasted their arrows.

I took multimedia last year. Not gonna lie, it was pretty boring, we just do crap from the book we use. If you're lucky though, you'll have plenty of free time in class.

Definitely creative writing and history are the two subjects that I express great passion for in school. I take a decent interest in school as a whole - I am very academic-oriented - I can't get into all subjects. At one point being a doctor was my dream career, but science began to make me lose interest in such a job. Science is overall a fine subject, but it doesn't always interest me. Math is just awful in my opinion. Math is my worst class (I have a B in that class on average) no matter what I really do. It's tough to study math, really. You either understand it, or you don't.

History is a very interesting subject, however. I've always expressed great interest in historical events; my favorite time eras are the Italian Renaissance and the Jefferson Era. Usually certain things influence in my interest in time eras; Assassin's Creed gave me the desire to look into the Italian Renaissance. This year I'm taking U.S. History - the teacher is awful, but the class is amazing. I look forward to watching videos every few weeks; I find out about a new person in history that I inevitably like a lot with each video, especially during the Jefferson Era.

History is overall a very important subject; history will repeat itself if we don't learn from our past mistakes. The documentation of history is probably one of the most important things we can do; preserving the legacy of humans is a necessary thing - even if society were to crumble, history must be kept, so it will be served as a precedent to the new civilization. It would inevitably be up to them to learn and distinguish correct actions, and ethically wrong ones.

The only downside to my passion is the lack of real work that I can do with it. Becoming a historian isn't a high-paying job, usually they end up just being a teacher or professor, which is one of the last things I'd ever want to do. There's the occasional historian that is in a movie that highlights a certain part of history, but with the lack of real viewing demand outside of schools, I'd assume the pay isn't very high. The only potentially high-paying thing that could come out of being a historian is writing books. However, my pay would depend on who really buys it; historical books isn't a risk I'm willing to take.

Creative Writing, however, is a much nicer passion for me. I've been able to use my abilities on Zelda Dungeon many times - whether I'm posting, or writing a story. This passion began in sixth grade when I was given creative writing for a single semester. I wish I had it the entire year, because it was a great semester. The teacher was a great man; I had him in seventh grade as well. He inevitably was the reason for my passion in writing; he was the one who suggested that I start writing after I wrote a small series using his short story homework. The quality of it was much worse than my current writing ability, but he saw potential in my capabilities.

Writing can be high-paying; writers like J.K. Rowling don't even have to write another book and they'll be set for life financially. Naturally I wouldn't be in it for the money, but it would be a good way to use my passion of writing and still make a decent amount of money. Being an author can also lead to movie deals, which is another way to get money. As stated earlier, it's not so much the money, but living a comfortable life is definitely an ideal thing.

In a sense, I could mix the two passions, writing historical fiction. Historical fiction isn't very popular usually, but when written well, it can end up selling many copies. There are also advantageous factors to historical fiction instead of historical nonfiction; you don't have to follow everything, you can distort facts, add events, or even omit a few. History is just your setting; the rest is up to you.

Creative writing and history are definitely my favorite subjects in school for many reasons. Making these passions into my job is ideal; I want to have fun while I work. Writing seems like a more plausible job for me, history might end up just being something on the side.
