I created some custom box art for Skyward Sword.
There are two images which I have posted on this thread. I used existing artwork to make the box art.

I would love your feedback. Please tell me what you think.
I also have linked the ZIP with the PDN files (for use with Paint.NET, might work with photoshop or GIMP) in case you wanted to modify the images or add a back cover.

I only ask that if you upload it anywhere else, you post it, or a link to it, on this thread as well, because I wanna see it. :D

i think the picture of link is good but the background seems a little bland since it is only one color but thats only my opinion but other then that it looks amazing

The box art is cool, but to me I have this feeeling that there'll be more on the actuall box art. So the blue background represents the Sky right. Really like them.

your box art seems incredibly good, why not present it to Nintendo themselves. Its good enough for it.
Looks great! Especially the second one! You should try and contact Nintendo and present your box art to them!
Well Nintendo made basically everything. I just used layers and put the official art on top of the clouds from one of the screenshots, and then I did a cloud render with that cloud layer. I'm sure Nintendo will do something similar with it, and it will probably be better than mine. But I will go ahead and contact Nintendo. How would I do that?

Type in your email, put in the topic as wii, and send a link or put in the picture into the email and ask Nintendo What do they think of it. And remember to be formal!

I just sent them an email. Here is what it said:
Greetings, I have created two custom box arts for The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. I will provide a link to each of the images here. I made them last night using your logo and official art.

If you would like to use anything from the covers I have made, simply send me an email telling me how I can send them to you. I will then send you the files in PSD format compressed into a ZIP archive.

If later, you come to the conclusion that you took inspiration from my box art, you are more than welcome to use it. I would like to be acknowledged, but it is in no way a requirement for taking inspiration from the box art that I made.

Best regards and hoping to hear from you in the near future,

Bradley S. Horwith

Very nice, I like the second one alot. Great work...... :)

They are both pretty straightforward. If you had more art to work with, I would call this bland, but there is so little to use, so this is pretty good. I have no feedback except use more art when it arises.

I agree. There was not very much art to work with, so I had to use what was there, and I am not an artist myself.
