Fan Theory: What Is The Mystery Behind The Fierce Deity Mask?

GameOver Jesse has yet another spellbinding theory for us Zelda fans! This time, it’s about the possible origins and functions of the Fierce Deity mask and Majora’s mask. First, GameOver Jesse suggests that, as there are many Termina and Hyrule counterpart characters, Majora’s mask itself has its counterpart in Ganondorf. Second, he mentions that the Goddess of Time in Termina, has her counterpart in the Goddess Hylia from Skyward Sword. Thus, this leads GameOver Jesse to believe that Link’s counterpart is the Fierce Deity. Watch the video and find out how GameOver Jesse attempts to prove the latter.

I say GameOver Jesse is stretching the facts a little, most especially with the idea that Majora is Ganondorf’s counterpart. I do not find their villainy similar at all because, as GameOver Jesse states, Ganondorf does not destroy the land he wants to rule and Majora does (paraphrased from 5:40 to 6:20 of the video). I believe the difference here is much larger than any similarities the two might have.
