It goes without saying that fans of the Legend of Zelda series enjoy a good adventure. Many of those fans have thrust their favorite adventurer into a multitude of different worlds, imagining journeys of their own within everything from Minecraft to Skyrim and beyond. Even Nintendo has jumped on the “mash-up train” with the new Hyrule Warriors slated for release September 26. Well, one YouTube user under the name “The Pixel Kingdom” has created a new video that brings Game of Thrones into the land of Hyrule.

The video recreates the intro sequence from the hit HBO series, based on the epic novels of George R. R. Martin, in the Link to the Past version of Hyrule. The small details within have made for a truly impressive piece of work. The house sigils have been replaced by Link, Zelda, Ganon, and Agahnim, while King’s Landing and The Narrow Sea have been replaced by Death Mountain and the Sanctuary respectively. Famous landmarks sprout from the ground seamlessly and the music combines both series’ themes for an exciting and nostalgic feeling for fans of both. But instead of going on describing it, check the video out for yourself.

What do you think of the video? What other Zelda mash-ups would you like to see? Let us know in the comments below.
