Famitsu Reveals New Playable Characters in Hyrule Warriors

It’s a good day for Twilight Princess fans, as Famitsu has revealed some new information about Hyrule Warriors, and a good portion of it includes characters you may be familiar with. In addition to announcing two new playable characters, we also know of a few other veterans returning from Twilight Princess.

The first of the newly revealed characters, much to my surprise, appears to be the self-proclaimed “Princess of Bugs” herself, Agitha. For those who may not remember, Agitha originates from Twilight Princess and would reward you with larger wallets or a sum of rupees whenever you would give her one of the Golden Bugs that were scattered around Hyrule. In fact, it seems that Agitha’s combat techniques will utilize her army of insects in tandem with her parasol.

The second character, named Lana, is completely new and Hyrule Warriors will mark her first appearance. Lana will use a magical book to call forth various spells for the player, as well as cast barriers during battle to shield her from damage. Take heed though, as Lana will suffer extra damage should enemies pierce through her defenses.  For reference, Lana is the blue-haired woman to the right of Link on the cover art of Hyrule Warriors.

Famitsu has also confirmed that both Argorok and Zant will appear in some capacity. While we were aware of Argorok from previous footage (see below), Zant’s presence has yet to be seen.

So, how do you feel about Agitha being playable and Zant returning? A bug-inspired fighting style would certainly be interesting to see, don’t you think?
