Extremely Detailed Death Mountain Mod For Left 4 Dead 2

A mod-maker on L4Dmaps.com named NickNak has created a fantastic remake of Ocarina of Time‘s Death Mountain in Left 4 Dead 2. The full custom campaign includes Kakariko Village, Death Mountain, and the Fire Temple. There are items and infected that are re-textured to look like elements of Ocarina of Time, and there are even some custom features like rupees to use at the fully-functioning shop, and a boss fight with Volvagia in the Fire Temple! If any of you took advantage of Steam’s holiday sales and bought Left 4 Dead 2, this mod is definitely worth checking out.

I’ve got to say, Left 4 Dead 2 is chock full of modding capabilities. I’ve seen mods adding stuff from Super Mario, Portal, Minecraft and more, but this one takes the cake. The simple fact that you can fight Volvagia in the end is mind-blowing, and the areas are just so intricate. Plus, you have to give points to NickNak for even getting that little flame-fence maze in the Fire Temple working just right. The details make it all worth-while. The high-intensity style of the Left 4 Dead series is not something you expect to see much in Zelda, but this mod makes me really want to see Link get ambushed by a Tank on the way through Kakariko.
