When it comes to background noise, study music, or tunes for quiet contemplation, many of us turn to lo-fi playlists to help fill the void. There are no shortage of The Legend of Zelda lo-fi compilations, and they’ve truly made my ears much happier. After the release of Tears of the Kingdom, though, listening to older compilations does make me yearn for the lo-fi treatment for some of my newest beloved Zelda tracks. Thankfully, lo-fi and electronic music producer Caspian has answered the call with his new album Hyrule Lofi II.

A successor to Hyrule Lofi, Caspian’s newest Zelda-inspired release has been built on one question to fans of the original album: what other tracks would you like to see reimagined? Hyrule Lofi II has taken audience feedback and shaped it into a beautiful lo-fi album that can make any Zelda fan’s heart sing. Shared to a wider listenership by video game record label Gamechops, Hyrule Lofi II comes in at just under an hour, containing 15 songs and packed with love for the series.

“Each track has its own distinct atmosphere, and I’ve woven secret gems and Easter eggs throughout the melodies and sounds — just like the games themselves. I hope you’ll take the time to listen closely and discover these musical surprises for yourself.” – Caspian

I love these little surprises within and between the tracks that primed me to hear the melodies of some of my most cherished memories in Hyrule — I really noticed this with my favorite atmospheric track on the album, “Lookout Landing.” If you’d like to take a listen yourself, you can find Hyrule Lofi II on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, and Amazon Music.
