EB Games Australia suffers preorder problems
Posted on November 23 2013 by Cameron Smith
It’s happened before, it’ll happen again, and it’s happening now: a game retailer taking too many preorders and not having enough stock to fulfill these orders. Hit the jump to find out what’s being done to remedy the situation this time.
This time, Australian retailer, EB Games, has made this mistake. Customers who thought they had landed themselves a copy of the A Link Between Worlds 3DS XL bundle are now receiving e-mails such as this:
“Due to a mistake on [EB Games’] part, we don’t have enough stock to fulfill all of our orders. As we allocate on a first come, first served basis this means that unfortunately your order cannot be fulfilled.”
To compensate, EB Games is giving out $30 gift cards to these unlucky customers. Being an Australian resident myself, I’m glad I only ordered the game (I’ve already got a perfectly fine black 3DS) if this is what I was going to get instead of a 3DS XL bundle, had I ordered that. Has this ever happened to you? If so, don’t you just hate it when this happens? Has this ever occurred with a past game or with your preorder of A Link Between Worlds? Let us know in the comments.
