Dorkly: If Zelda had Cops
Posted on March 02 2014 by Parker
Hyrule has always been portrayed as a crime-prone kingdom where young heroes commit reckless vandalism on pots and princess kidnappings are practically a weekly occurrence. The online humor website, Dorkly has posted a short video showing what the land of the Triforce would be like with a modern police force to keep its oddball citizens in order.

Overall, Dorky’s latest Zelda-themed video features high-mark production values, hilarious writing and amusing voice acting (as a Minnesotan, I especially appreciated the police officer’s quasi-Midwestern accent).
The video stars a 8-bit officer of the law, as he reprimands the iconic Old Man from The Legend of Zelda for “sending prepubescent minors in Peter Pan customs to murder pig-men after putting together triangles.” The video is a sidesplitting tongue-in-cheek look at why real-world law enforcement would probably be a better solution to Hyrule’s frequent upheavals than a “pants-less mute child” with a sword.
Feel free to share your impressions of this Hyrule version of Cops in the comments below.
