Digital Foundry, a branch of Eurogamer, released a video last week talking about the potential technology going into Nintendo’s NX system. To keep you updated, you can get a nice recap of the NX report here. They are analyzing the part of the report that talks about Nvidia’s Tegra! tech, specifically in regards to the X1. The spec breakdown is this:

  • 4x ARM Cortex A57
  • -48kb + 32kb L1 cache
  • -2mb L2 cache
  • 4x ARM Cortex A53
  • -32kb + 32kb L1 cache
  • -512kb L2 cache
  • 256 core Maxwell GPU

To many, that may sound like mumbo jumbo. In the analysis video above, they equate the performance to being better than the Wii U but less than the Xbox One. A turbo charged last gen console. What does this mean for Breath of the Wild? Higher resolution and better frame-rates, which was probably already a given. What do you think about all of this?
