“Did You Get All That?” Weekly News Recap
Posted on July 05 2015 by Kira Koneko
Thank you all for joining me once again where I, Kaepora Gaebora take you through all the latest news and features you talked about most from the last week, here at Zelda Dungeon. This week our journey takes us through some very important news and announcements, including one from the team at Zelda Dungeon itself. But before we begin I must ask…
Did you get all that? If so, follow me past the break!
This week, the first stop on our journey back in time takes us to the announcement that the Kickstarter of Eimear Noone’s next project, “Songs of Zelda: A Link to the Celts” has now reached its original goal. With 9 days left to go before its deadline there have been two stretch goals added with the second being at $60,000. If you missed the update, or want to help support this project, you can check out the article here.
Our next stop in our adventure takes us to the team at Zelda Universe. This week they announced their latest project, Skyward Sword: The Movie is holding open auditions for voice actors. There are a total of 16 characters to audition for, and time is running out! The auditions will be open to the public until July 9th. If you want more information or want to participate in this latest endeavor from Zelda Universe, check out the article here.
The third stop on our journey through the happenings of last week takes us to a very important announcement from Zelda Dungeon! The Zelda Dungeon Marathon for 2o15 will be taking place July 13 – 17. The donations raised will go to benefiting the charity Child’s Play. The team will be playing through all of the main series of The Legend of Zelda as well as a few more obscure titles too! Please help raise money for a great cause and show your support for the dedicated staff at Zelda Dungeon as well. To watch the announcement video, check it out here!
This week our final jaunt back in time takes us to Akira Himekawa, the mango duo that has created many Zelda comics. The team sent out a tweet this week from their official Twitter account announcing that work had begun on a brand new The Legend of Zelda Manga. This of course led to much speculation as to what it could or should be based on. There is even a possibility that some intrepid Japanese fans might have already discovered what the project is being based on!
Nikki said:
“I’m excited to have a new Zelda manga installment! I’m hoping that the comic will be based on either Spirit Tracks, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, or ALBW. The question is, when will it be out this year and will it hit America?”
A wispy wisp wizard found proof that it might just be based on Twilight Princess:
