kaeporagaeboraWelcome back to my weekly feature here at Zelda Dungeon, where I, Kaepora Gaebora remind you of all the happenings from the last week. Whether it is the latest breaking Zelda related news or the topics you commented on most, we will go back in time and get you caught up to make sure you haven’t missed any Zelda goodness! But before we can begin our adventure I must ask…

Did You Get All That? If so, follow me past the break.

This week our first stop on our journey takes us to the first Gossip Stone of the week where Jon asked; Skyward-Sword-LanayruWhich is your favorite enemy gauntlet? After discussing a few different enemy gauntlets and detailing some of the reasons that made them great, Jon lands on the Cave of Ordeals from Twilight Princess as being his ultimate favorite and although there were a few others thrown in the mix it seems as if most of you felt the same! It seemed as if some of you had even pondered this question before and put some serious thought and reasoning to your decisions.

AnonymousGX detailed out his favorites:

“For me, the challenge of a 0-Damage win is my favorite part of a Gauntlet. Hence, those that I find difficult are better, even if I pull out all my hair trying to do it. With this in mind, my favorite in terms of difficulty was the SS Boss Rush. Sure, the ‘levels’ weren’t original, but they sure worked me hard trying to get all the way through. Second was TP Cave of Ordeals, third OoT3D Boss Rush. The rest were too easy for me.
However, if difficulty was ignored and I chose based on the overall experience and replay value, it’s OoT3D first and TP’s Cave of Ordeals second. The item chance of OoT3D made it an interesting experience, as well as the ability to time myself against my siblings, and TP had a great variety of strategies I had to use against the enemies in order to beat it 0-Damage.”

Dark Swordsman had this to say:

“I really can’t decide between ALBW and TP those were both so great. I know WW was the same thing but I thought it wasn’t very rewarding. SS probably has the best rewards, but I didn’t like the boss rush itself, especially when playing in hero mode where I would be fighting bosses in the rush that I had not even faced in the story line yet, bosses I wanted to use the hylian shield against.”

Our tour back in time has now come to an end and our last stop takes us to the announcement from maxresdefault (1)Eimear Noone, the amazing Irish conductor that has conducted Symphony of the Goddesses concerts, that she will be starting a Kickstarter to fund her latest project, a new album called Songs of Zelda: A Link to the Celts. This project will take some of the music from The Legend of Zelda series that we all have grown to love and give it a Celtic twist.
