Deciphering Linkle’s Story

With the announcement of the new, although not unknown character Linkle, the Zelda fan community has had quite a bit to talk about as of late! Some find the addition of her character as a source of excitement and some not so much. We know very little about her story except for a few basic things… She is a very positive and cheerful girl, who cherishes a compass that has been handed down to her by her grandmother. She hears about the turmoil happening in the Kingdom of Hyrule and decides to embark on a journey to help save the kingdom and become like one of the Hero’s of Hyrule told of in legend. Along her journey she meets Skull Kid and Midna and seems to arrive in Hyrule without too much trouble. But who is she really? Why is she so desperate to save the people of a far off land? What is the full story behind the compass and what appears to be a map she carries with her? What is she really searching for?
