Daily Debate: Which Zelda Game Needs a Sequel?
Posted on September 23 2014 by Legacy Staff
The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask was the direct sequel of Ocarina of Time. Years later in 2007, The Wind Waker got its sequel: Phantom Hourglass. Like this, many other games such as A Link to the Past or the original Legend of Zelda got sequels of their own. These games expanded the story behind the original and added new villains and characters, such as Dark Link, Yuga, Bellum, Linebeck, Kafei and Skull Kid.
But sometimes these sequels are unexpected or criticized as subpar games or unnecessary. Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks are prime examples of games that are considered as subpar, Majora’s Mask didn’t have the sales of it predecessor, and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link is considered a bad game by Miyamoto himself. So this brings up the question: Which Zelda game needs a sequel?
In my humble opinion, Twilight Princess really needs one because of some of the unexplained events within the game, such as the divine prank and the dark interlopers. Those would serve as great base materials for a sequel, or perhaps even a prequel. Join the Daily Debate!
