Daily Debate: Which Zelda Character Would You Like to Cosplay As?

Fans of the Zelda series express their love of the franchise in various ways; sometimes they make fanart or write fanfics, sometimes they make/join fansites, and sometimes they come up with cosplay for themselves or other fans. We saw an example of such a costume earlier today, showcasing Ravio and Link’s hats. It may only be the starting point of a full costume of the characters, but sometimes that’s all you need to show off your love for Zelda. You need only keep an eye on our Facebook page to see how awesome some of those costumes can become—we’re always getting to see some impressive outfits from fans there.

Stemming from those thoughts is today’s Daily Debate: given the option to cosplay as any character in the Zeldaverse, who would you pick? Ignore the complexity of making the costume or the price of purchasing premade outfits; pretend instead that you’ve got access to any and every person’s look, or any variation you’d like, with all the wigs or makeup necessary to perfectly match the appearance you have in mind. Would you go with the classic Link look? Or perhaps you’d rather select a specific version of a character, like Impa from Skyward Sword, or Hyrule Warriors‘ Ganondorf? A more original route, like a genderbent Zelda, a human version of Darunia, or maybe a Cucco? …Heck, while you’re at it, why not grab a bunch of friends and go as a Cucco swarm?

After some thought, I think I’d like to try my hand at a Byrne costume—as long as that large gauntlet of his isn’t too terribly heavy. I dunno how I’d manage to lug around a truly realistic mimicry of that. Second choice would definitely be that Cucco swarm idea. But who would you choose?
