Age of Calamity shenanigans aside, Breath of the Wild is centered around the fact that Hyrule fell to the forces of Calamity Ganon a hundred years prior. The champions Link starts to remember are simultaneously learned to be deceased, in the same war that Link once failed to be the hero of. Urbosa, Daruk, Mipha, and Revali were all chosen as champions because they stood out amongst their kin as not only as leaders but as strong, brave, and noble warriors.

Although we do not know specifically how their complete fight against their respective blights went as far as logistics, we know what each of them was up against and what the abilities of each champion were. Given this information, which of the four do you think lasted the longest in the battle against the blight they faced?

I think Daruk likely lasted the longest. Gorons are not only extremely resistant to heat, and have a tough skin at that, but Daruk in particular had his protective shield that would have warded away a lot of attacks. Although the other champions are indeed mighty, I think Revali would have been affected by the torrents of wind that Windblight Ganon produces and Thunderblight Ganon would have been less affected by Urbosa’s fury, Thunderblight able to produce lightning and probably taking less damage to it. As far as Mipha, I believe she would have put up a good fight but she doesn’t seem as much of a seasoned warrior as the others.

What do you think? Which champion died first? Which champion died last? Let us know in the comments below!
