I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again: Breath of the Wild’s Hyrule needs more towns!  I know the kingdom is still recovering when Link wakens from his long slumber in-game, so I can forgive this lack of hustle and bustle.  Naturally, the right time to build from the ground up would be after our hero has defeated Calamity Ganon, and we’re ready to spread the populace across the four corners of the land.  But where to start?  Where should you build your new town — one to rival that of Tarrey Town and others?

Personally, I’d take three main things into account when considering where I’d build my town: proximity to other towns and villages, accessibility, and the weather.  Now that Hyrule has peace, I’d want to take full advantage of the sprawling fields in Central Hyrule.  Anybody making their way to and from a reconstructed Hyrule Castle Town might want to break the journey up in our new town; we’d have plenty of tourism!  There’d be no major up-hill trek to put visitors off, at the very least.  Just some softly rolling hills, stretches of meadows, and open spaces to bring you to Hyrule’s newest, coolest town.  And while Central Hyrule suffers from rain and thunder (like other regions), it isn’t buried in snow, or suffering the excruciating desert sun.  And importantly, you won’t get cooked alive as you might living on a volcano.

All things considered, I’d settle my new town close to Hyrule Garrison Ruins, which would be fortified once more.  I’d pick Windvane Meadow as my spot (a notable location).  We’d have protection from the Garrison should we ever require it, and we’d also pick up news and important information through soldiers gossip (what’s a town without wagging tongues?).

Where would you build your new town in Breath of the Wild’s Hyrule?  Let us know in the comments below!
