Happy St. Patrick’s Day to everyone on ZeldaDungeon! Today is the day that people in many parts of the world get together, celebrate historical traditions of Irish culture, and be merry. There isn’t necessarily an appropriate cultural analogue in the Zelda franchise, but we do see some cultural celebrations like the Carnival of Time in Majora’s Mask. Likewise, Hyrule and the other lands in the series have occasionally featured the typical “watering-holes” associated with these types of celebrations. I’m sure when the world doesn’t need saving, Link drops the stoicism and allows himself to unwind. He already has the green clothing ready to go! It makes me wonder; where would Link spend St. Patrick’s Day?

Speaking of Majora’s Mask, I’m sure the Milk Bar (also known as Latte) is a good time during a raucous, celebratory holiday. It almost has a speakeasy type vibe to it, almost like “milk” is just a euphemism for something. It’s easy to see our hero taking a seat amongst the citizens of Clock Town, perhaps by the Gorman Troupe leader, and enjoying a Chateau Romani as the Indigo-Gos play a set of Irish jigs. I’m sure they’ll throw their signature “Ballad of the Wind Fish” in there for good measure. Open from 10pm until dawn, it’s the perfect place to cut loose and enjoy the celebration. Link just needs to not go too crazy, lest Mr. Barten ask him to leave. Then he’ll have to check out some backup options like Mercay Tavern, The Noble Canteen, or Telma’s Bar. Maybe not that last one. Telma is always looking at him funny.

What do you think? Where would Link go for St. Patrick’s Day? Which Zelda location would be best for hosting these holiday parties? Let us know in the comments below!
