Weddings are major life events, and they often have the amazing ability to gather diverse collections of people together. One of the biggest parts of a wedding ceremonies or banquets (besides “I Do”) is music. Music has played a key role in weddings throughout history, and this tradition continues to the present day. The individuals planning weddings often have control over what music is played at a wedding ceremony or banquet. Some weddings receptions have specific entrance music for the wedding party, or there might be a special song for the first dance at the wedding. Some Zelda fans have incorporated music from the Zelda series into their wedding ceremonies or wedding receptions.

With this in mind, what Zelda songs would you choose to play during a wedding ceremony or wedding reception?

“Romance in the Air” would be one of my top choices for background music at a wedding ceremony or wedding reception. This Skyward Sword song is very energetic and lively, but people at a wedding could still have conversations while the song is playing in the background. Additionally, “Romance in the Air” is the song that made me believe Link and Zelda are more than platonic friends in the game, so it has always had a special place in my heart. Another song I would enjoy hearing at a wedding is “Kakariko Village” from A Link To The Past, Ocarina of Time, and A Link Between Worlds. I always associate “Kakariko Village” with comfort and peace, and it would fit an event where you might be surrounded by friends and family. There are a lot of great versions of the song; one of my favorites is the version by Super Guitar Bros. that is included on their Ocarina of Time album.
