Daily Debate: What Do You Think the Hieroglyphics Mean in the Tears of the Kingdom Trailer?

I was screaming in excitement this morning. We finally have a title, more footage, and a full release date for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (gosh, it feels so good to say that). I was transfixed by every second of the trailer and have so many questions, but most of my intrigue is focused on the hieroglyphics in the opening. Who are the figures who are shown? What do they mean? There are depictions of battles with malice and minions approaching warriors, there is a female figure depicted multiple times who looks a lot like Princess Zelda, and there is a massive looming figure that could be a form of deity.
Then there is the overarching question–where did these glyphs come from? Are they of the Zonai Tribe? The Gerudo? Ancient Hyrule? So many questions and so few answers. At first glance, it seems there is some sinister prophecy carved into the walls that involves the current or past incarnation of Zelda, but only time will tell!
What do you think of the new trailer? Do you have any theories about what these glyphs could mean? Let me know in the comments!

She has loved The Legend of Zelda series since she was a little girl because of its equal mix of princesses, besting bad guys, and heartfelt stories.
