Other than Pokemon and Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda has more of its own merchandise than any other Nintendo series. Walk into any GameStop, Hot Topic, or other similar establishment, and you’re bound to come across at least a couple of pieces of Hyrulian memorabilia.

Having said that, I think the folks in charge of producing this stuff could afford to get a bit more creative. Aside from certain amiibo, a couple of The Wind Waker figures I saw at Toys R Us a couple of years back, and some Sheikah socks, I’ve noticed that Zelda merch is largely focused on two things: Link himself and the Triforce. I mean, just look at the image above!

Now, don’t get me wrong, I’ve been tempted to get that Triforce night lamp, but this series is filled to the brim with so much more iconography that can be exploited in the form of useless, yet cool stuff. What is it going to take for me to see an officially licensed, Darth Vader-inspired Zant mask with its own obnoxious voice box? I’m not much of a collector these days, but I’d be all over that.

I want to hear your ideas, though! What’s the coolest piece of Zelda merchandise you can think of? Let us know in the comments below!
