Daily Debate: Does Ocarina of Time Still Rank Among the Best Zelda Games?

When somebody mentions Ocarina of Time, I immediately get that warm, fuzzy feeling of nostalgia. Happy memories of my childhood come flooding in and I remember the good times spent playing the game on my Nintendo 64. I didn’t leave this game in my childhood, though. I’ve continued to play it throughout my life, finding comfort in its familiarity, and evergreen enjoyment in its gameplay.

All-in-all, I’d say Ocarina of Time ranks among the best Zelda games. In fact, I’d say it’s THE best Zelda game. I state this with the full knowledge of just how great Tears of the Kingdom, Breath of the Wild, and Echoes of Wisdom are (those being the most recently released installments too). Sure, Ocarina of Time doesn’t have an open world. But it does have my imagination, and every time I traverse Hyrule or leap into battle in-game, the arena feels just as big and the enemies feel just as bad as those seen in more modern titles.
