Ironic, isn’t it—we started this week with a pair of Daily Debates discussing glitches and bugs in Zelda games, and now a new one has been discovered in the depths of Ocarina of Time‘s Spirit Temple. Speedrunner Tokyoboi808 was attempting a run of the game while blindfolded, livestreaming the whole time, and by complete accident he happened to perform a set of actions that allowed him to glitch through the ceiling and enter a room above his current location…

So it looks like Hyrule Warriors has a pretty awesome bug in it that allows characters to use the weapons and movesets of other characters from the game, unlocking a ton of possibilities. No longer is Link alone in his ability to use the Spin Attack; now, just equip a Hylian Sword to any character and they too can spin at mighty speeds and somehow not become dizzy beyond belief.

Majora’s Mask has become a fan favorite game of the Zelda series in recent years; the main quest may be shorter than most titles of the franchise, but the side content, characters, and world of the game ensure that it constantly stands out to many of us.

For those unaware, there are several types of speedruns. 100% completion runs, every dungeon runs, tool-assited runs, and then of course just be the fastest to get from start to finish by any means necessary in-game. This allows for glitches and such, so long as they can be performed within the game itself and don’t need any additional tools to help achieve. CosmoWright is a speed runner of the last variety, and he literally just set a new World Record that he himself likely won’t be able to beat. Head inside.
