Avast, me hearties. May ye be ready for another Zelda Informer Caption Contest? If you couldn’t tell by the unique way I introduced the contest, today just so happens to be Talk Like a Pirate Day. Nintendo actually reminded me of this celebration of swashbuckling vernacular this morning with a tweet featuring our favorite Zelda pirate Tetra. I couldn’t let opportunity to use this sassy corsair in today’s contest slip by me, so here I am to present you with an image of the Great Sea’s pirate queen. She looks particularly surprised about something, so why not speculate with some captions?

And here are our non-photo caption winners:

  • Sheik388: Off screen figure: Destroy them
    Link: Yes My Lord
  • Zelda_N64: “Well, don’t touch it! I’m just VERY suspicious of giant, glowing eggs sitting on pedestals!”
  • AnonymousGX: “You hid an Easter Egg there? How old do I look, two years old?”
  • ???: Link: Excuse me, are you the one wearing the tunic? Yeah, that’s what I thought, so do me a favor and don’t speak to me.
  • Heather Zaffee: “When you win the argument but you hear them mutter under their breath”

This Week’s Contest:

I may actually have some more pirate goodness coming to the site in the very near future.

Use the image above and leave your caption in the comments section below. If you accidentally post as a guest, simply log in and reply to your comment with your username. If you post your caption as an image, and it doesn’t load, wait 5-10 minutes and check back. It usually just takes a few minutes to load properly.

Here are the guidelines:

  • Please refrain from using offensive material (racial, sexual, overuse of offensive language, etc.) We want to make the contest fun and accessible for fans of all ages. When in doubt, keep it Nintendo.
  • Keep the image as close as possible to its original form (minimal photo editing). This is the Caption Contest, our Photoshop Contest is held on Fridays.
  • If you don’t have the ability to edit the image, just leave it as a comment. We make sure to have a separate list of winners for this category.
  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion at Zelda Informer. In fact, we encourage discussion based on those opinions. However, please do not insult other fans’ work. What may be funny to one person may not hold true for another…and that’s OK.
  • Have fun and be creative!

Don’t forget to check back throughout the week and upvote your favorites, and maybe you will be one of next week’s winners!
