Breath of the Wild Official Art Depicts a Unique Guardian Concept

Is the brand new official art for Breath of the Wild depicting a type of Guardian merely a concept, or have we already confirmed it is legit? The new art piece shows off a guardian design that looks very familiar to the last screenshot Nintendo released for the game. That being said, there are enough differences to make you wonder if this was an early design concept, or possibly one which appears somewhere else in the game. Either way, it appears there is an entire “race” of guardians with various sizes and capabilities. Wait, a race? I guess I can’t think of a better way to describe it.
